Kiria wishes more than anything that she could fly like the eucalyptus leaves that float from the trees below her house. With a cocoon, a chant, and a magic potion created in best friend Mica's kitchen, Kiria and Mica take flight over gold-flecked landscapes and through gold-flecked skies, finally to land on Mica's bed. The next day, their night magic is gone, but returning to Kiria's house, the girls discover a new swing built by Kiria's father, "with ropes so long it'll give you wings." The slight story is supported by Demi's stunning watercolor landscapes, which are executed with the delicacy of Japanese scrolls and touched with golden paint that gives them a luminescent glow.
