That done, EVERY BRIDE HAS HER DAY is about wedding planning with a heaping helping of humor and drama. I am so glad I didn't have friends, family, and future in laws like Katie Sue does in EVERY BRIDE HAS HER DAY. Like most brides, Katie has planned her wedding since she was knee high to a grasshopper, and she knows exactly what she wants. But what to do when the rich mother of the groom--also Katie's boss--has her own ideas--and yours don't matter? Or when your entire hometown, and her co-workers, want to plan their dream weddings and make it yours? And what to do when you have no backbone, and a lot of on the job stress for someone else's wedding? Ms. Thompson is the queen of romantic humor, as well as wedding stories, and fans will want to read EVERY BRIDE HAS HER DAY. The wonderful end to this new series. I still love the first book best, but the end was satisfying and for a new fan of Janice Tompson's books I am very happy with this ending. I'm sad to hear that Revell won't be publishing her books, but I am sure someone will pick up on the talent of this wonderful author! I would put more into this review, but it would surely spoil the book, and this series is too good. So while I look into more Jenice Tompson books I hope y'all have a fun book filled day that's full of blessing! Until next time! Every Bride Has Her Day is book three from the Brides with Style series. I love this series and this book doesn't disappoint! I laughed so much throughout. Great book! 5 plus stars.

I have loved this series, and I thought this was a cute, fun end to the series. I love Janice Thompson's books for how fun and sweet they are, and this one was no different. I did have a few more issues with this one. I felt like...nothing happened. As in, there was no real plot. Yes, I know Katie is getting married, but it seemed very lacking. I felt like a lot of the conversations were repeated, even Katie's inner monologue. They were just saying the same things over and over again, and nothing was really happening. Also, I know it's a romance, and they tend to be slightly unrealistic anyway, but the amount of engagements/weddings/etc. in this one seemed over-the-top and excessive. I mean, I could see why Jane was feeling a little bitter. But in true Thompson fashion, the story was hilarious and quirky and sweet. It was still a fun read, and I'm glad we got to see the whole gang one last time, all together. I thought it was super cute, and I can't wait for more from Janice Thompson.

Janice Thompson in her new book, “Every Bride Has Her Day” Book Three in the Brides with Style series published by Revell continues the story with Katie Fisher. Pro basketball star Brady James has proposed, and she can’t wait to start planning their life together. But it’s hard to focus on her own happily ever after when her calendar is filling up with celebrations for friends and family. Beyond that, it seems everyone around her has an opinion–and a strong one at that–on what Katie’s special day should look like. Will she ever manage to settle all of the details for her storybook wedding? Or will her overzealous friends and relations make a mess of everything? If you didn’t read the first two books in this series I think you will be able to make it through this story but I feel that you are doing yourself a disservice not reading them because the stories are a lot of fun and they do prepare you for what will be happening here. Get ready this is romantic comedy at its best. All the characters are likable and Ms. Thompson has a way of bringing you into the story and making Katie and Brady’s lives very real. This book is all about family, romance and weddings. I think you will recognize some of the supporting characters from real people in your own life. I think that is what makes it so much fun and interesting. This is a very enjoyable read and I recommend it highly. Every Bride Has Her Day creates a delightful book about an engaged couple and the interruptions and interferences they encounter on the way to the altar. This is surprising because they work at a bridal shop and make others’ wedding wishes come true. Of course, everyone has their ideas of what they ought to do, what they should wear, and the theme for the wedding. This funny, cute novel takes the reader along as Katie Fisher finds her true self and desires. I received a copy of Every Bride Has Her Day from NetGalley for my honest review.

I have really enjoyed this series. It’s light and fun and this book met that as well. Janice has away for bringing weddings to life. And this book is full of them. I was getting so irritated with everyone trying to tell Katie how to have her wedding and I got irritated with Katie because she wouldn’t speak up. Everyone means well, but they are driving her crazy. I couldn’t wait to see how Katie and Brady would work out what they wanted for their wedding and would everyone be happy or would they give them a hard time about it? There is a lot going on in this book and a lot of people. You could read this as a stand alone but I don’t think you would appreciate it as much not reading the first two books, so I do recommend reading those first. Overall, a nice, light read, great for a summer afternoon. A copy of this book was given to me by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

"Every Bride Has Her Day " by Janice Thompson will make you smile and then laugh. Katie has just gotten engaged to Brad but, that sets off a chain of actions that are a little too believable. Anyone who has a large family or a lot of friends will understand what this is all about and will be able to relate to this novel. Everyone wants to help them with their wedding plans and give them their ideas. The problem is that they do not know when to stop and keep pushing their ideas on the, What can Brad and Katie do? Will they get a hint or will she have to get a little more forceful? I really thought this was a down to earth novel. I give this book a 5/5. Another hilarious contemporary romance! This is part of a “true” series. You really should read the books in order as they have the same cast of characters and they are progressing through life in an expected manner. I have thoroughly been enjoying seeing how Katie develops through this series. She still has some of the same issues cropping up in this book, but she is a little quicker to work through them this time around. She is learning slowly over time just like we all do. She is surrounded by a complete cast of very quirky characters. Many of whom want to plan the perfect wedding for her. The problem is they each have their own plans and don’t want to ask what she wants for her big day. Some of the ideas are a riot and Katie has to figure out how to get her wedding planned the way she wants it without hurting anyone’s feelings. I really liked seeing how the small home town people and the big city friends all come together to support Katie and Brady. There are incredible moments when deep wisdom and insights are shared by a number of different people. We have a fantastic example of what community is like and how they come together for each other in this wonderful story. Weddings don't always go as planned... Every Bride Has Her Day is a sweet and perfectly romantic conclusion to the Brides With Style series from Janice Thompson. In some ways I felt this book was a little more serious than the other two, but there were still plenty of crazy antics and humorous moments. Weddings and engagements abound along with anxious brides and crazy families. I will admit that there were times when I wondered if Katie and Brady would ever make it down the aisle, and there are more ups and downs for them in Every Bride Has Her Day, but this wouldn't be a Janice Thompson novel without a romantic happy ending. I have to say that one of my absolute favorite parts of this novel was that the chapter started with a quote from one of my all-time favorite actresses, Audrey Hepburn. As a classic movie fan it was so much fun to read each one as I started the chapters. The Brides With Style series has been a wonderful, romantic, funny, adventure from one of Christian fiction's best loved authors. Every Bride Has Her Day is another not-to-be-missed winner from Janice Thompson. (I received a copy of this book from Revell in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.)

Every Bride Has Her Day is the delightful, often times hilarious, conclusion to author Janice Thompson’s A Brides with Style Novel series. Katie and Brady are finally on their way to their wedding day. Before they can get there they will face many changes and challenges in a very short time. New babies and new love abound as Katie, Brady, family, and town go through the year to the big wedding date. Katie certainly did not realize that when she and Casey broke up and she moved to Dallas all the changes that happened not just to her, but just about everybody she knows. This was a heartwarming and at times a belly laughing read. I knew this had to have a happily ever after, but I was a little concerned if Katie would get the day she always dreamed about. This was a fun series about a small town country girl deciding in the wake of heartbreak to move on to the big city for something different. Katie has finally gotten that long hoped for proposal. Now she's ready to plan her wedding. Actually she's had it planned for years, except she always pictured a different groom. But no worries, she's ready to tackle this wedding thing and move towards the wonderful day when she can call Brady her husband. And then the well meaning friends and family descend with every suggestion in the book on when, where, and how her wedding needs to go. Katie would completely take Brady up on his suggestion to elope if she didn't know she'd be murdered by her family for even thinking about it. So she must learn to lean on God and find a way to make this crazy thing called a wedding work. Thompson writes romantic comedy with a splash of faith. The characters are sweet and endearing, but also a little quirky. This is the third book in the series and I really don't think it would work as a stand-alone. You really need the background story on everyone to be able to understand the wheres and whys of the plot. But if you enjoy amusing stories, romantic men, and small-town gossip, it will be worth the time to read the first two books. It is a dream come true for Katie Fisher that she is an engaged woman. Brady James is her perfect mate, and the Lord was amazing in how he got them to meet. Katie has her groom-to-be, a beautiful wedding gown, and a full calendar. Friends and relatives around her are celebrating with their own weddings or engagements. And almost everyone around her is quick to share her thoughts on how they think Katie’s wedding should look or progress, from where it should take place even down to where she and Brady will honeymoon. Isn’t Katie the bride? What about her ideas for her wedding day? Although this is a charming, Christian fiction, contemporary romance story, I struggled with it. As far as girly and over-the-top goes, the author nailed it. Unfortunately for me, the story was a bit fluffy. I’ve read more historical romance of late than contemporary, so the description sounded promising when I initially read it, but like a carbonated beverage, the luster of the story fizzled out. I also appreciated the part where fences are being mended between two long-time friends and they’re discussing forgiveness. We can all learn from those lines, because it’s not true only amongst friends, but family, coworkers, everyone on the planet. So, if you’re looking for a light-hearted, whimsical story, this may be a novel for you. But if you’re seeking action and adventure or a story with a complex plot, I would advise you to choose a different book. -- Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Revell Books. What a sweet, fun finale to the Brides With Style series! It really has been an enjoyable journey for Katie and Brady. Every Bride Has Her Day is filled with romantic moments between these two main characters, yet peppered throughout with the tongue in cheek, small town antics of Katie’s extended family and friends, and a good dose of tension as Katie hopes to be strong enough to stand up to wedding planning meddlers. I thought that this book was a very good balance of fun and romance. The stories in this series are great choices to pick up when you need a dose of goodness and lightheartedness. There is always an inspirational thread running through the books in a gentle way. I have definitely enjoyed these stories. Our girl is finally going to be able to wear her wedding gown, the one she won when she thought she was going to marry her old boyfriend. Now she is engaged to her basketball star, Brady James, walking on cloud nine. We encounter everyone with an idea of what Katie’s wedding should be about, even down to the honeymoon. Oh dear, and she works in the business now, most everyone is very experienced and have wonderful ideas, but she wants her own, and doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Well we know something has to go wrong, and you will be surprised what happens, will Katie and Brady get the wedding of their dreams? We have others weddings in this popping up, some planned and others a big surprise. You won’t want to miss this one; it will keep you up late reading. Enjoy! Before She Says, "I Do".... At last, the love of Katie's life has proposed. So now everything should be perfect, but it is far from it. Since Katie works in a bridal shop, she is surrounded by "experts" who all want to tell her exactly what kind of wedding she should have. Her boss, who is also her future mother-in-law, has some very concrete ideas about the way the big day should proceed--and she has already made reservations for a location! Katie's mother, grandmother, and aunt also weigh in with their ideas about the way the wedding should take place. She is being pulled in every direction as she attempts to please everyone. But one person isn't getting pleased at all, Katie herself. Nobody is letting her have her say about how she envisions her wedding day. While of this tug of war is happening, a plethora of other weddings take place including a theme one based on the movie, Gone With The Wind, an oil heiress's wedding in a barn complete with fabric covered hay bales, and a very glamorous affair involving two lovable senior citizens. This is a fun, light story with a whirlwind of weddings. I especially liked all the marital advice wedding guests gave at the last ceremony. This tale stands on its own, even though it is the third book in A Brides with Style series. This 5-star book will appeal to anyone who likes wedding stories with a twist of humor. Every Bride Has Her Day is book three in the Brides with Style series. I have not read the first two books in the series, but didn’t feel it was necessary to enjoy the story. That being said I would love to read the other books to get to know the characters even more. Starting the series in this book, it took me a while to remember who everyone was. After I got that down I really enjoyed the story. The characters all have their own quirks, and kept me entertained. Katie is so excited to finally be a bride. She has dreamed of her wedding day her entire life, and to be planning it with Brady as the groom, she couldn’t be any happier. Working at a bridal store, Katie’s co-workers have tons of ideas about how her perfect day should go. And her fiancés mom wants her son to have the only the best. The problem is no one seems to care what Katie wants, and she has a hard time telling those she loves no. Everyone has ideas from where it should be held all the way down to what theme she should have. The problem is everyone’s dream wedding is different than her own. When you throw in the opinions of the ladies in her hometown, Katie is stressed beyond measure. Will she get the wedding of her dreams? Or will she settle for what everyone else wants? This book was a lot of fun to read. There were lots of secondary stories going on and it was interesting seeing how they panned out. Thompson was great at keeping my interest and making me love the characters, even if I’ve only known them for such a short time. I enjoyed hearing Katie and Brady’s faith woven through out the story as well. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a crazy family and enjoys laughing through the craziness. Janice Thompson is my go-to author when I need a book guaranteed to make me smile. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, and Every Bride Has Her Day is a delightful finale brimming with all things bridal and romantic. Amidst the satin and lace, Thompson skillfully portrays the tension and conflict that can arise during the planning of the Big Day when too many opinions wreak havoc on a bride's peace of mind as well as her relationships with friends and family. The depiction of the pain experienced by the perpetually single friend who is "always a bridesmaid" evokes sympathy and adds authenticity. Once again, the setting varies between Dallas and Katie's hometown of Fairfield, Texas, and the juxtaposition of metropolitan elegance and small-town charm creates multiple opportunities for humor as well as misunderstandings, and the pages turn as rapidly as the miles fly by on the interstate between the two locations. Every Bride Has Her Day is the the perfect read for the summer wedding season; add it--as well as the two previous books in the series--to your reading list today! Every Bride Has Her Day is the third book in the Brides With Style series. Katie Fisher is on cloud nine after her boyfriend, Brady proposed to her but it's not gonna be an easy ride to the alter with work demands and her crazy family around! With everyone around them getting married or soon to be married, Katie is feeling the demands of her job and family, and with her hometown at odds with each other over a misunderstanding, she wonders if everything will be pulled off without a hitch. At the 11th hour, everyone quits fighting with each other and Katie gets her dream wedding and man in a fantastic way to end the book. I do have to say that at times, this book was a bit confusing at who everyone was and why everyone was getting married all at the same time it seemed. For what it's worth, it was a good read that will have you laughing out loud at what is going on and I'm definitely gonna go back and read this series from the beginning to understand everyone better. I thought it was cool to see Martina McBride songs as chapter titles which totally fit in with the book! I can only imagine where this series is going next but you can bet that i will be reading it! Thank You to Janice Thompson for introducing me to this series that was perfect in the sense that it's not your average romance series!

Katie Fisher entered a contest and won a wedding dress. She meets the designer and her son, Brady Jones. Katie gets a job with the designer and falls in love with Brady. They get engaged and everyone is planning her wedding for her. She has dreamed of her wedding since she was young and has a scrapbook of her dream wedding. Katie is struggling with how to move forward with planning her wedding and not hurting anyone. Bridget Pennington comes into the bridal shop and is having similar problems. Her wealthy father wants one type of wedding and she wants another. The ladies at the bridal shop tell her to not let him boss her around, it is her day and “if the bride ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.” Katie's new sister-in-law also tells her to have the wedding she want's. This is a cute Christian romance novel story. There are a lot of characters, but they are introduced in such a way that you get to know them all. Almost everyone in the book either just got married, gets married or engaged in the story. I thought this took away from the story of Katie and Brady getting married. I also thought the idea of announcing engagements during celebrations for other people was a little insensitive toward the couples being celebrated. The one star rating for this book is a stretch because this ranks as one of the worst books I have read. The plot and conflict is so trivial, I recommend the book only for those who want to read about sorry conflict as a female (who from the cover looks like she ought to be old enough to make her own decisions) is pressured by her fiance's mother to have the wedding in Dallas and by her own parent who want her to have the wedding in their hometown an hour away in Fairfield. Oh, wait, there are troubles in the various churches and the Baptist church does seem the best. After all, the prayer group is in a tizzy we later find out because of some problems which started over a discussion on hemorrhoids. The book takes the reader through trivial matters concerning weddings. It was absolutely one on the worst reads for me. I thought maybe it would have some value with a plot involving her fiance's former career as an NBA basketball player, but nothing developed there as the book was to busy with dresses and wedding themes and riding off into the sunset. From the cover to the last page, this book is a loser for me, I really can't fathom readers who want good plots and storylines enjoying this, but I am sure there are women who do like this kind of work. I just was not one of them. The praise reviews accompanying this book are for the other books in the series, so maybe they are better. I received this book from the publisher and this is my honest review.

I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.” ** It seems like love is in the air big time — everyone seems to be starting a new relationship or getting engaged or married — in Janice Thompson’s “Every Bride Has Her Day.” The story picks up immediately after “Every Girl Gets Confused” with the engagement of Katie Fisher and Brady James. The problem is, though, Katie can’t enjoy her upcoming nuptial bliss because everyone has an idea for how her wedding should be. No one seems to care what HER ideas are for HER wedding. Katie must quickly learn how to rein in everyone and get her wedding back on track. And when a major misunderstanding literally rips her small hometown in two, her perfect day starts to look like it won’t be so perfect at all. “Every Bride Has Her Day” is such a lovely story, a tale wrapped up in the comforts of home and love. But it’s also filled with many laugh-out-loud, snort-inducing moments, especially when adorable Aunt Alva comes into play. Thompson fills her story with several lessons though — like learning that home truly is where the heart is, and the importance of feeling at home; having a happily-ever-attitude, even when things seems difficult; and that God always has a plan for us. You will fall in love with both Katie and pro-basketball player Brady, as well as the Dallas bridal shop employees who work with Katie and Brady, and all of the family members, especially grandmother Queenie and the absolutely adorable Aunt Alva! As an added bonus, this sweet story is filled with chapter titles taken from Martina McBride songs, and quotes by Audrey Hepburn — both whom inspire wedding gowns designed by Brady’s mom, Nadia.
