This story line is great! There is drama, there is romance, there is biblical principles being displayed throughout all of Lori Wick books!

Love this story, although it makes me cry each time I read it. The emotions and events draw you into the book. I love when she yells at him and tells him to ask someone with a wife what is happening. Socks! The poor girl as if she hadn't gone through enough. There is a slower pace in the last half, but still very good writing.

This was the first Lori Wick book I ever read, and boy was I impressed! Lori is like no other Christian fiction author I have ever read. She surprises and delights her readers with every turn of the page. This book was sweet, sad, funny, delightful, romantic, and educational but not overly so, which is a very good quality in a book, I think. The turns and twists keep you waiting on the edge of your seat until you turn the very last page; I could not put it down! She is by far one of the best Christian writers I have ever come across. Way to go Lori!

This book is great. It has its moments that make you 'read it and weep', but it is an awesome book about God's love and unending care for his children.

When I first got this book, I was so excited because I love stories in the WWII era. I was anticipating a really sweet love story set during that time, but I was not prepared to have to try so hard to focus on the love story that I was waiting for. I felt that there was genuine merit in the plot as described on back of the book, but I found that plot most difficult to follow. One page after another took me on various chases of thought, and ultimately I found myself terribly disappointed once I reached the end of the book. I kept thinking that with the turn of each page I'd find something more, but each page kept coming up short. I do belive that Lori Wick has written better books. If you're not hoping for something that will draw you right in, but rather just a book with which to pass the time, then you likely won't be disappointed.

this book jumps all over the place and clearly shows that lori wick herself, has never been stranded on an island...there is so much wrong with this book (among wick's poor caliber writing style and cliche christianity) that if it were a person it would have died long ago.

Every Storm is a must read for anyone who is struggling with loss and wonders how to trust God. I love this book because it gives so many different views on one story and forces you to use your minds.

Wow once I picked this book up, I couldn't put it down! It was so good and after I finished it I felt a lot stronger in my relationship with Christ. I would reccomend this book to any believer that loves a WW2 novel, and a romance!

I have read many of Lori Wicks books, and am a true fan of hers. She blends everything our chaotic world cannot begin to fathom. I.E.- The grace of a merciful God, forgiveness, romance, a historical novel. I was not as captivated by this novel as some might have been. I enjoyed the Knight and The Dove much more, and also Who Brings Forth the Wind. Lori has many true emotions in her book, maybe that's why we find ourselves so captivated by her amazing literary skills. Thank You , and do try and support this fascinating author.

Although I have never read a Lori Wick book I haven't liked I truely fell in love with 'Every Storm.' This is a wholesome book it is even acceptable for young adults to read. 'Every Storm' is inspirational and uplifting even though the characters do go through a hard time. The book is beliveable it is neither over or under dramaticized.

I've always been a fan of WWII era romances, and had hoped that this one would be really great! Reading the ads for it had my hopes high, but within the first few chapters I found myself quite disappointed and struggling to hold an interest. Far too much jumping around and far too little romance, in my opinion. If you want a really good WWII romance with a lot of heart and tender romance, read 'For All Time' by Leigh Ann Roberts. That's a story line that gets your attention and touches your heart! As for Mrs. Wick, ... looking forward to better in the future!

First let me clarify that I am an avid Lori Wick fan, however, I must say that I was rather disappointed with this book. The blurb on the back of the book is rather misleading as it lead me to believe that the two main characters, Rigg and Lorri, were stranded on an island together for most of the book. They weren't. Technically Rigg was not stranded and he was not alone as he was a lieutenant in the navy who happened upon Lorri when he pulled his PT boat ashore so his crewmen could make repairs. They met, but because of her sad state of mind there were no sparks- which is understandable. 5 days later he delivers her to her grandfather, and Rigg and Lorri don't see each other again until almost a year later. That's really when the story begins- in California- not on a stranded island. Anyhow, the story was quite long, dull, and slow-paced, and it really dragged through for about the middle hundred pages. Like I said previously, I am normally an enormous fan of Lori Wick's but I don't recommend this book. If you want to read something of hers then go with any of her other works such as the Kensington Chronicles or the Yellow Rose Trilogy.
