Executive Treason by Gary Grossman

This second standalone globe-hopping thriller in the Executive Series finds Secret Service Agent Scott Roarke confronted with Russian spycraft, murder in the White House, and a frenzy fueled by the country’s leading hate talk radio personality.

“As topical as tomorrow’s Internet blog…fast-paced, with vivid characters and a plot right off the front pages. Surprises you on every page. A winner.”—LARRY BOND, New York Times bestselling author of Artic Gambit

The terrorists who came within a heartbeat of undermining the presidency of the United States in Executive Actions are back in Executive Treason with a new—and deadlier—plot to destabilize the U.S. government. It begins with the mugging and murder of a female White House staffer. Secret Service Agent Scott Roarke discovers the larger truth: the murder was committed by his secret nemesis, the mysterious assassin who had stayed one step ahead of him during the presidential campaign. This time, Roarke has found clues about the assassin’s past that give him the tools he needs to hunt the hunter and also silence a popular hate talk radio host dividing the country. But the clues can only go so far. Roarke needs all his skill and a huge amount of luck if he’s going to catch his quarry.

“More chilling than science fiction. Gary Grossman shows how the media itself can become a weapon of mass destruction. You’ll never listen to talk radio again without a shiver going down your spine.”—GARRY GOLDMAN, executive producer of Minority Report and screenwriter for Navy SEALs and Total Recall

EXECUTIVE ACTIONS--NON STOP GLOBAL INTRIGUE. The president of the United States in the cockpit of Air Force One, an assassin eliminating enemies one by one, an ex-KGB trying to get out with secrets that the West needs to know, a terrorist who's plotting a coup, a talk show host who makes you shiver at the thought of what power there is in hate speech, and a Secret Service agent who's cut from the hero mold and delivers action and romance...romance with attorney Katie Kessler, who returns from the author's first book, "Executive Actions." It's all in "Executive Treason." That and more. I couldn't put it down. It's written on multiple plains and paced like an action movie. In fact, love to see this and the first book on the big screen. And with a preview of the next sequel, "Executive Command" at the end of the ebook, I'm glad to see that more's on the way.

I have read both of Gary Grossman's novels, Executive Actions & Executive Treason and both books are the best and most exciting page turners I have ever read. The characters and plot are so contemporary and real that it might be happening right now. You're in for a real treat when you read his books and you won't put them down until your finished....and then you want more. Can't wait for his new book and sequl "Executive Command" that scheduled to come out end of this year.

This book was fascinating. It kept my interest and was difficult to put down. I highly recommend this book. The only drawback to this is the time the author devotes to describing weapons in minute detail. I usually skip over those parts before my eyes roll back into my head. Fortunately there are not many parts where this occurs. The overall plot and twists overcome the small drawbacks.

Excellent! Very few proofreading errors which are so rampant these days (at least on my Nook tablet), and seems to be extremely well researched and accurate. It is so realistic that it's scary! Talk radio should take a good, hard look at itself. So should its listeners start thinking for themselves and not just accept faulty premises as fact just because they are told it is so.

One word describes this second political thriller from talented author, Gary Grossman:Mind-blowing (okay, so technically two, but you get the picture....). Absolutely mind-blowing. Grossman has taken his knowledge and skills and put them, once again, into a highly gripping, edge-of-your-seat, heart-pounding read. From start to finish the action, the threats, all of it become realistic and pulls you in. Once again, the reader is swept away and placed into the heart of a terrorist's plot to destroy the White House, staff, President and all. Agent Scott Roarke is back and better than ever in his hunt for the terrorist, after a woman is murdered. It's once again a race against time to save the President, and the country, before this crazed terrorist cell can accomplish their deadly aim. Agent Roarke dives into the fast-paced hunt for clues, trying to turn the tables on the person responsible for the cell and killings. Each new clue brings more heart-pounding suspense, intriguing twists and turns. But, the question is, will Roarke be able to stay ahead of this terroristic treason plot or will more lives be lost and endangered? I definitely recommend this with high 5 Book ratings. It's fast-paced, blood-pumping, heart-pounding suspense at it's finest. When you reach the end, you're jaw will be on the floor and you'll be wondering when the next installment will be released, as you'll want more of this addictive series. Amazing job, Mr. Grossman. Bring on the next!

I just powered through Gary Grossman's riveting new book - I thoroughly enjoyed it and in fact could not put it down! I found it well written and suspenseful with interesting and compelling characters, terrific plot and a great set-up for book #3 - which I'm thankful for, as I can hardly wait for the next installment! Grossman captures the genre of political hriller like no other author today. My big question is: when we can expect to see the movie version?

My review: Executive Treason by Gary Grossman was a sequel to Executive Actions and since I really enjoyed the first book, I was excited to read Executive Treason. Executive Treason is quick-paced political thriller, which pulls you in and offers everything a good political thriller usually does: action, plotting, intrigues and smart characters. Regarding the plot: You meet Secret Service agent Scott Roarke who starts investigating rape and murder of a woman working in the White House. What seems like a usual murder case leads into a much more complicated road with political threats to the presidency, with terrorism and kidnapping. What I liked in Executive Treason was that the author brought in radio talk show host and added some spice to the story. I also enjoyed the re-appearance of several characters from the first book. The writing style and the story itself were believable and that was little scary and very thrilling. It was a heart-pounding reading experience for me! I am not a native English speaker, but even I saw some editing issues which disturbed my eye, especially no separation between the words, so this was definitely a flaw while reading. The other apsect of the book, which annoyed me little bit, was the deeply emphasized political values of the author which were too clear for my taste. I appreciate when people have standpoints on politics, but not in a way that it hits you in the face in the fictional story. Regarding the characters: I have to admit, that Scott Roarke's character grew on me. When on the first book, I liked him, then this time I was actually impressed how well the author did on Roarke. The author has added some extra depth to his character and that made the reading experience valuable. Once again the author has managed to fill the book with many interesting supportive characters who give extra added value to the story! Generally: Gary Grossman is an excellent writer and the Executive Treason is a great book! If you are capable of seeing pass the editing mistakes and the outspoken political views, it's a fantastic thriller! I would highly recommend this book!
