The first installment of Sarah Mylowski's New York Times bestselling series!

Be the bravest of them all . . .

Once upon a time my brother and I were normal kids. The next minute? The mirror in our basement slurped us up and magically transported us inside Snow White's fairy tale.

I know it sounds crazy, but it's true.

But hey -- we're heroes! We stopped Snow White from eating the poisoned apple. Hooray! Or not. If Snow White doesn't die, she won't get to meet her prince. And then she won't get her happy ending. Oops.

Now it's up to us to:
- Avoid getting poisoned
- Sneak into a castle
- Fix Snow White's story

But Snow White's REAL happy ending might not be quite what we expected . . .

From Mirror, Mirror
Once upon a time my life was normal.
Then the mirror in our basement ate us.
Do you think I'm joking? Do you think I'm making this up? You do, don't you?
You're thinking, um, Abby, mirrors don't usually go ahead and slurp people up. Mirrors just hang on the wall and reflect stuff.
Well, you're wrong. So very WRONG.
Everything I'm going to tell you is the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I'm not making anything up. And I'm not a liar, or a crazy person who thinks she's telling the truth but secretly isn't. I am, in fact, an extremely logical, extremely practical, and extremely un-crazy nine-year-old girl whose life went completely berserk after her parents forced her to move to Smithville.
Thirty-Three Grimm Street, to be exact. Corner of Andersen Avenue.
Still don't believe me? You will when you hear all the facts. You will when you hear the whole story.
Let me start at the beginning.

Abby’s brother Jonah discovers a mirror in their basement, but this is no ordinary mirror. After the adventurous Jonah accidently opens the mirrors portal, Abby and Jonah are transported to the middle of Snow White’s fairytale. Without thinking the pair thwarts the evil Queen’s attempt to poison Snow White with an apple. Great, they saved the day. But wait, if Snow White never eats the poison apple, then she never meets her prince, and won’t get her happily ever after. Oops! Now it is up to Abby and Jonah to set the story straight and make sure that Snow White gets her happy ending, and that Abby and Jonah can make it home before their parents discover they are missing. Filled with cute adventures, and creative ideas, Mlynowski gives the fairytale of Snow White an inventive twist. Whatever After: Fairest of All is a great beginning to the new Whatever After series.

I think it was a really funny, interesting, and exciting book. It was the first chapter book I read all the way through without stopping in the middle. It took me about a week to read. It was the best book I've ever read and now I'm reading If the Shoe Fits. - Sidney Claire, Age 7, 2nd Grade

I have heard many good things about this book from many sources! I even though I haven't read it, I would say this book is on the best of the century list! I would totally reccomend it! When I read this I will explain more! -ReadThisBookReviews Please stop posting "best book ever" (5 word) reviews, write more, explain! P.S. Please stop posting terrible reviews! When I read the one that everyone is talking about, I almost puked! This is a kid's book & many kids are going to ask what these terrible things are & get in trouble!! P.S. 2 to the I can't say that wrote that bad review! You do not know where I live, so give it up & stop freaking people out, its creepy. It's sort of obvious your a middle schooler who wants attention from strangers, not a grown up. You probably don't have a very nice future, & it's not your fault, sorry! Try to keep up on your grades! -anothersortofadvanced6thGrader Click Yes If You Agree!!! From StarTrekVoyager&MorganHorseRider0296. Have a good Day!

Loved this adorable fairy tale! It is perfect for little girls that enjoy witty, sarcastic humor and a little bit of adventure. The writing is fun and upbeat, with Abby's voice coming through consistently. It is a funny story that will delight children of the target age group (8 and up). I love the way the main characters ruin Snow White's story. And how they fix it again. Very fun.
