Another thrilling read from Carey Baldwin. My fingers were itching to get my hands on 'Fallen' after having been introduced to Caitlin and Spenser in 'Judgment.' I had high hopes as I was so impressed with the first in the series. 'Fallen' went beyond my expectations and the Cassidy & Spenser series is now a firm favourite.
The author teases the reader with the slow romance between the protagonists. With every lingering look and touch, the reader can't help but fall in love with them as they fall in love with each other. Their developing relationship is left to simmer however, as more pressing matters take centre stage when the pair are called in to profile a serial killer in Hollywood.
The 'nail biting' mystery and suspense had me completely engrossed and the twists and turns kept me guessing until the very end. I really had no clue until Cassidy figured it out. The killer in question is a completely new kind of character for me. The psychology and twisted reasoning behind it was intelligent and thought provoking. I can't wait to read what Ms Baldwin comes up with next.

I loved this book, all 256 pages keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering who the killer is. I did not figure out who the killer was as I usually can. I hated to put it down to even go eat. GJRA

I read the first installment of this series so long ago that with this second installment I had to reacquaint myself with Cassidy and Spense. This, of course, didn't take very long as Ms. Baldwin's books really could be stand alone reads. Even though I figured out the "bad guy" half way through the book, it was still a great read. I always appreciate when dialogue is "real", and Ms. Baldwin has the skill to pull this off. Cassidy and Spenser are a perfect team, and I appreciate their relationship taking a whole new twist. If I didn't have so many books in line on my Nook, I'd go ahead and read the third book in the series. Great read!

An Incredible Suspense! Carey gets better with each one & this one rocks!
Straight from the case that threw Caitlin Cassidy and ‘Spense’ Spenser together as a team, Caitlin and Spense now find themselves attempting to profile a serial killer in the midst of the most ‘fake’ of worlds…Hollywood. Dubbed the Fallen Angel Killer, someone is killing prostitutes and posing them in high traffic tourist spots. When a witness goes missing, Caitlin and Spense must work against the clock to figure out who the killer is, who this mysterious Celebrity X is, and even whether or not the killer is male or female. All the while Spense’s feelings and attraction for Caitlin drives him to be over-protective and even jealous of the men working on the case with them. Of course, his worry over Caitlin’s safety becomes an issue because if you know Caitlin Cassidy, nothing keeps her from following a clue…not even a killer.
I love the way we are pulled into the mind of the killer through Caitlin’s skills as a forensic psychiatrist and Spense’s skills as an FBI profiler. The way that Caitlin climbs into the shoes of the killer and Spense solves the puzzle of the crimes leads on a merry chase after the Fallen Angel Killer. It’s a constant guessing game, thinking you’ve got it solved only to discover you’re all wrong and just as the killer feels unseen, we fail to see him. Brilliant!
I would love to go on about this amazing suspense but I also don’t want to give away too much. I want anyone and everyone who enjoys a good mystery to read this amazing story. Things are starting to heat up a little between Caitlin and Spense too. I love how Carey has invited us on the journey these two amazing characters are taking toward working better and better as a team and in a budding romantic relationship.
I highly recommend FALLEN by Carey Baldwin because this is what a suspense is meant to be…thrilling, action-packed, puzzling, and at times, truly creepy. It rocks! If you love romantic suspense, this one is for you.
***purchased for my own reading but I'm sharing my honest and unscripted review with you.

After being introduced to Judgment through a free read I could not wait to get my hands on the rest of Baldwin's books. Love the characters, love the plot. Need more!

Baldwin does it again- from the first page she draws the reader in to her complex, dark world of psychological turmoil and nonstop
suspense. FALLEN is set in the glitz and glamor of LA, and brings a freshness to the thriller book genre. A number of real landmarks
anchor the story- places like the Walk of Fame and the Wax Museum- and add fun and spine tingling backdrops to the action.
As with previous book, the FBI element is well researched and the story is one unexpected twist after another.
I enjoyed the evolving relationship between our intrepid protagonists Spense and Caity. Another book to add to your must buy list!
