About the Author

Michelle Marchildon is The Yogi Muse. She’s an award-winning journalist and the author of four books on yoga. Her newest, Fearless After Fifty: How to Thrive with Grace, Grit and Yoga is co-written with Desiree Rumbaugh. Her previous books include Finding More on the Mat: How I Grew Better, Wiser and Stronger through Yoga and Theme Weaver: Connect the Power of Inspiration to Teaching Yoga. You can find her writing on Yoga International, Elephant Journal, Mantra Yoga and Health Magazine, and Sports Illustrated.


Desiree Rumbaugh is an internationally recognized yoga teacher and author. She has over 30 years of experience in alignment based Hatha Yoga, including Iyengar and Anusara certifications. Co-author of Fearless After Fifty: How to Thrive with Grace and Grit, and creator of the DVD series Yoga to the Rescue, she has now created a training called Wisdom Warriors™ along with Karen Church, PT, for anyone wishing to use yoga to continue to progress while working with chronic pain or injuries. Desiree has studied with Physical Therapists and Functional Movement trainers which makes her classes and workshops safe and strengthening for all ages, with an emphasis on those in mid-life and beyond.
