Fire War III: Uprising by T.T. Michael

Anthony Jackson. Patriot. Spy. Widower. Still reeling after the death of his wife, Jackson is numbly training anti government troops. Confident that his role in political affairs has dwindled to being a glorified shooting teacher, Jackson is slowly trying to piece his heart back together. Until the call comes. The rebels are far from done with Jackson, and this time the promised reward is big and juicy: the Presidency.

As the world slowly falls apart, men fight and men die, and Anthony Jackson cannot simply watch. Something has to change, and someone has to change things, and deep down, Jackson knows that he's the only man that can do the job. But as cities fall, the eternal question continues to burn in his mind: just who can he really trust?

In a world of lies and secrets, where even the ones you love can betray you, Jackson must find right and justice. Only then can he lead the country that he loves. If he survives that long.

After everything Anthony Jackson has gone through, he just wants to train the rebel soldiers. He lost his wife and his world has been turned on end. But the rebels are not done with him yet. They need him again, the men that he has been training need a leader, and what better leaders than Jackson? Jackson doesn’t want to get into this fight again. He has already lost so much. But he also knows that this world is ending in one way or another. Something needs to be done and he is the best person for the job. I have rushed through this series to see how everything was going to wrap up. Jackson is just broken after the death of his wife. But he knows that he has to step up if he is going to stop the president for good. But he still has doubts. The president has proven how evil he really is. But are the Rebels any better. Many people have joined them but do they really know the cost they will have to pay to end this nightmare? I loved this series. It is well written and with today’s political events I can see it as a possible future. Where do you draw the line? When is it time to stand up? What are you willing to give up? Is it better to go along with the masses or stand up alone? I see that you can buy the box set on Audible here. I see that a lot of people enjoyed Patrick Freeman’s narration. This is an amazing story and one that I strongly recommend checking out. This is one series that you need to add to your library. I received Fire War III: Uprising from Reading Addiction Virtual Book Tours for free. This has in no way influenced my opinion of this book.

Reviewed by Divine Zape for Readers' Favorite Fire War III: Uprising: A Dystopian Political Thriller by T.T. Michael is the last installment in the Fire War Trilogy, a captivating story with a satisfying finish. Set against a turbulent political landscape in the near future, this thriller follows the decisive actions of a patriot in a war that is almost spiraling out of control. After the death of his wife, Anthony Jackson feels like he has nothing left to lose, and very little to fight for. But can he be indifferent to the fate of his own nation, with war raging and people dying? It is while training anti-government troops that he receives an assignment of a lifetime, one that could change the course of history and the fate of millions. Now he has to choose whom to trust and the best action to take. The question is: Can he survive long enough to accomplish this mission? If you love action-packed, fast-paced, and plot-driven thrillers, then you’re in for a huge treat. This one begins in the midst of action and the tension only gets better as you read on. T.T. Michael writes like someone who’s been in the military and has been actively engaged in war zones. There are very interesting characters to watch, like Anthony Jackson, Perez, and a host of others. The writing is excellent, with vivid descriptions that invite the reader to become part of the intense action. The conflict is introduced from page one of this beautiful, engaging thriller and readers get keen about following it quickly enough. Fire War III: Uprising: A Dystopian Political Thriller could be prophetic, a powerful warning about the outcome of a political situation the world may be facing. T.T. Michael is a good storyteller and I can’t wait to read more of his books. After Lee Child, this guy becomes my favorite writer.

Reviewed by Ruffina Oserio for Readers' Favorite Intense action, conspiracy, intrigue, and arms are things you’ll find in T.T. Michael’s dystopian novel and political thriller, Fire War III: Uprising: A Dystopian Political Thriller. Anthony Jackson has had an amazing career as a spy. Now widowed, he is tasked to train anti-government troops, work that suits him because of his experience and exceptional skills in arms. It’s a boring job, but then something comes up. The war has been going on for long and the entire country could go to waste. Now someone must do a very high profile assignment and there is none better than Jackson. Can he complete the assignment that involves the presidency? Having lost his wife, Jackson has nothing left to lose. All he wants is to make things right, but can he trust the people he works with? There is just so much to enjoy in this dystopian political thriller. First off, the language is impeccably good and T.T. Michael has a gift for dialogue and descriptions that allow readers to visualize what is taking place in the story. I enjoyed the dismal images with dirt roads, the hideouts, the compelling characters — well-developed and extensively explored — and the conflict that makes the story move very fast, and the themes. I couldn’t help thinking about our current political situation, and where the US is headed at this moment in history. It is interesting to read about fiction, especially dystopian, and to feel as though the events narrated were taking place next door. Fire War III: Uprising: A Dystopian Political Thriller is absorbing and insanely entertaining.

Reviewed by Vernita Naylor for Readers' Favorite Fire War III: Uprising: A Dystopian Political Thriller (Fire War Trilogy Book 3) by T.T. Michael is a story about war, strategic alliances, secrets and power. Anthony Jackson is not only a trained Marine sniper but he is also a fighter, an assassin. After losing his wife, Jackson blamed President Meyers. Jackson wanted revenge on Meyers and began preparing for the next war of attack. As Jackson was hidden away in the desert with his daughters, Mac and Maya, he began training and teaching a small platoon of men and women in the art of war. Jackson had a game plan and he knew that one day his strategic planning would come in handy against the government. He wanted to not only fight against the government, but kill the president and become the president himself. Jackson believed that he could make a difference in how the world operates. Will his plan work? Fire War III: Uprising by T.T. Michael is a great book of suspense and intrigue, a marriage where Apocalypse, Black Hawk Down and Friendly Fire meets - it has several of the elements of these famous war movies. I liked how T.T. Michael was able to weave the several layers of war, government and political agendas together. Fire War III is an ideal book to read on a cold rainy day, wrapped up in a blanket with a cup of tea, or in front of a fire, because the excitement that you will experience throughout each page will keep you interested and engaged. Do you think that Jackson got his wish?

Reviewed by Rabia Tanveer for Readers' Favorite Fire War III: A Dystopian Political Thriller (Fire War Trilogy Book 3) by T.T. Michael is the story of a man who has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Anthony Jackson is numb with the pain of losing his wife. He is broken and he is trying hard to slowly put the pieces back together. He once had a great career as a spy and he loved it, but now he is just a shooting instructor because of his great resume. But something changes and that change makes him decide if he wants to be the man he was or does he want to rise above it all and find a new purpose in life. People are dying and the rebels are not done with him. They have a big prize waiting at the end, and Anthony knows he is the only one who can save the innocent from a terrible fate. But in this dreadful time, when people are dying and others are scheming and lying, who can he trust? What will he do if he is the only one who can save them? Even heroes need help sometimes. Although I have not read the previous novels in the series, I loved this one. I had no issue in connecting with Anthony and his struggles. His inner turmoil, his need to find a new purpose, and his grief over his lost wife all became fuel for the fire burning inside him. The character development and the story arc were great and well written. I absolutely loved this dystopian story where I got to enjoy a hero who was beautifully human. It was a wonderful read and very fulfilling.

Reviewed by Cheryl E. Rodriguez for Readers' Favorite Perfect timing for a dystopian political thriller! T.T. Michael’s Fire War III: Uprising is the continuing saga of the Apocolytes and their leader, Anthony Jackson. The year is 2082; the United States is no more. The US Constitution is long forgotten. The countries of North America have combined into one nation known as the UCSA. The new world order is governed by a ruthless, self-seeking President. Jackson and his Apocolyte soldiers, who include his daughters Maya and Mac, are camped out in the desert near Chihuahua. The Apocolytes are a group of rebels who believe in the old way of government, and are willing to fight for what they believe in. Their cause is growing; it is time “to sow the seeds of a revolution.” Jackson would do anything to return to the time when life was simple and good. But those times are long gone. There is no going back or backing down! It’s time to rise up - to do or die! Far-fetched or a prognostication of a scary future? Nonetheless, Fire War III: Uprising is an entertaining read! Although I have not read the previous books in the series, T.T. Michael does a great job in bringing the reader up to speed with the ongoing plot. Essential for a successful book series, past, present and future events are written into the story line. The story’s characterization is used masterfully to manipulate plot. The protagonist is equally strong and vulnerable, emotionally hidden and transparent. As the hero, he has difficulty relinquishing past memories. This internal conflict, at times, hinders his decision making. He stalls, caught between two worlds - the then and the now. However, as the action progresses, the hero evolves, takes risks, mans up! He strives to accomplish his mission and to see the final outcome to this legendary pursuit. The antagonist is painted as evil, arrogant, deceptive and psychopathic - the perfect villain. The perspective, however, is one-sided, leaning toward the viewpoint of the protagonist. The reader doesn’t know what’s happening in the enemy’s camp. The thoughts and intentions of the villain are left to the imagination. Portraying genuine patriotism, I loved the symbolism in the closing chapter. Fire War III: Uprising depicts the bi-polarism of politics, revealing the integrity and dishonesty of those in leadership. It uncovers the reality of life, liberty and justice for all. “We the people...”
