Overview

Five Weeks (Seven Series #3) by Dannika Dark

Destiny will find you.

Izzy has always loved the freedom and adventure of life on the road, but she's recently decided to settle down-as much as a rogue wolf can. When her boyfriend gets her a job working at a hot Shifter bar, she runs into the last person on earth she expected to see again.

Jericho isn't the famous rock star he once was, though he still plays in a local band and loves to party. Beautiful women come and go, but music is his only passion-until a sassy redhead named Isabelle Monroe shows up unexpectedly.

Fate reunites two former friends living with one foot in the present and the other in the past. But will they have a future when one of them is forced to choose between life and death? Old habits die hard, and sometimes the toughest addictions to shake are the ones that control our hearts.

Totally awesome!!! This book is not a disappointment by a long shot! Dannika knows how to capture, hold and release! I mean...really...sitting here sipping on Starbucks - Pike in my favorite mug, throw cover on and eyes bulging out of my head wondering whats next. As Jericho slide down the wall in what it seems like as total defeat, I begin to boo-hoo cry as his eyes are watering. Dannika...you are freaking awesome!! You can be a bestie in my book!!! Thanks for giving me an enjoyable read. I loved every book I'ved purchased so far and don't think I'll be disappointed with the next one I'm about to read in a minute. KTAiken

Amazing, loved it, so much better than book 2 in the series! Perfect mix of action, drama, and hot steamy romance. Some of the scenes are nailbiting yet NOTcringeworthy to the point i would rather skip than read, those scary moments are perfectly balance and well written.

(4.5 stars) Just like Izzy would say HELLS. BELLS. Five Weeks is by far the most action packed book of the series so far. Many years ago Jericho and Izzy were best friends until he crushes her heart. Decades later they are reunited purely by accident and that's when both are forced to face their pasts. The Izzy/Hawk "incident" is the most intense scene I've read of the series to date. I felt every single emotion as if I were Izzy herself. I felt that poor Izzy and Jericho barely got a moments peace before they were thrown into another stressful situation. I am loving this series and can say I will read anything that Dannika writes.

I knew that Jericho's story would be a good one, Izzy was his match in all things. A great addition to the series.

I'm not much into rock star romances, but Dannika Dark's Five Weeks has many more components than the standard rock star meets sweet girl story. First off, it's about shifters. Thumbs up! Second, the heroine Izzy may appear sweet and fragile, but she's anything but. She calls herself a "wild weed" versus a "dainty flower" and I loved that!! Third, Izzy and Jericho are not meeting for the first time in this book. That was a nice change. They have a history: some good, some bad, but it was a nice friends-to-lovers addition. They have a beautiful bond and it is obvious to readers that they should be together. Fourth, we've got some thriller/suspense going on. As with most of the books in this series, danger comes lurking for the heroine at some point and the situation Izzy was in had me on the edge of my seat! And last but certainly not least, we get to see a female in heat. It's a weird concept to discuss so casually but these are wolf shifters and wolves go in heat...so I've been told. The "female in heat" thing has been referenced in the previous installments but this one actually gets down and dirty...pun intended. I would still refer to Five Weeks as a light paranormal romance though since the "romance" is not the focal point and the scenes are not as explicit as what you may find in your typical paranormal romance, but I give the one in this book two thumbs up! In addition to the above, I enjoyed the characters' personalities and could appreciate their struggles. Ms. Dark presents a woman who doesn't quite feel she belongs. I think I'm pretty safe in saying we all have experienced a feeling like that at some time in our lives. Also, I applaud Ms. Dark for addressing addiction issues in this book. Jericho has a history of being your stereotypical rock star: sex, drugs, and rock and roll all the way. Ms. Dark shows it's not all fun and games and I thought that was important. Five Weeks is an excellent addition to Dannika Dark's paranormal shifter romance series titled Seven. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to fans of the series. Enjoy! My favorite quote: “We’re stars, you know. Different, distant, young and old, but we’re all made of the same stuff. We all shine just as bright as the next.”

This by far is my favorite of the series . I love how Dannika dives into the world of addiction it affects us all one way or another . I am finding that the more of these books I read the more I am falling for all the characters. The story lines are the best I have read in a long time. I love how she makes you feel like its not a story but the town next door to you .  I can't wait to get into the next book.  Izzy has always loved the freedom and adventure of life on the road, but she’s recently decided to settle down—as much as a rogue wolf can.
