OMG is my rating also! A personal case for Ollie leads her into as much danger as ever.  All of our White House favorites are here and the story moves along at at quick pace.  The tension was so great at the end that I had to stop reading and run down to the garage to smoke a cigarette to calm down! I ran back upstairs and continued reading only to be crying a few minutes later. This series gets better with each book. When is the next book coming???

The sixth book in the White House Chef series, Fonduing Fathers unlike the other White House Mysteries looks into Ollie’s history. The first female White House executive chef, Ollie follows leads into her father's death, 25 years in the past. She doesn't realize what a dangerous path she's on to clear her father's name of treason. She has always been told that he was a hero, and she has visited his grave in Arlington National Cemetery. With her Secret Service sweetie, Gav, she begins a quest that leads you on an entertaining yet suspenseful adventure, involving interesting characters, satisfyingly evil villains, and gives you a glimpse into the workings of the White House and government. Definitely a 5 star read!

OMG! This is an awesome read. I don't know how she does it, but Julie had done it again by delivering a story that I could not put down. The suspenseful nature of this hard-hitting story kept me in tuned to the fast and furious pace of this riveting drama as Ollie searches for answers about her father’s death. With each page turned, the tension escalated as this exceptionally written mystery moved towards its momentous conclusion. With a great backdrop of DC, terrific dialogue and a great cast of characters, this is the best book thus far in this delightfully entertaining series that include bonus recipes.

Loved it! It was great to see a little more of Ollie in the outside world but never lost the White House feel. Loved the relationships developed and the relationships that kept up too! Great mystery, great characters and simply put, GREAT writing! Wish I didn't have to wait for the next book!  Julie Hyzy is an author that I am always waiting to see what her and her characters will be up to next!

I love this series and try to pace myself so I don't have a long wait between books. Yesterday morning I sat down with Fonduing Fathers and late last night I finished. This one is more of a personal story than one about the White House. All the same cast and characters are there and some new ones. There are more twists and turns than you can imagine , And a wow of an ending. And now I only have to wait till January 7th for the next book

With two young children in the White House, Olivia Paras, White House Executive Chef, has found herself 'best friends' with young Josh, who wants to be a chef when he grows up.  They have made some interesting dishes together, and now he hopes to plan a party of his own, with Olivia's help.  Olivia, and her secret boyfriend, White House Secret Service Agent, Gav, are on a mission of their own.  When they go to meet Olivia's family, Olivia's Mom has a big secret that she has finally decided to share with Olivia.  Olivia's father died when Olivia was very young, but she has always admired him, and often visited his grave at Arlington Cemetery.  Now, she learns that her father was murdered, and was accused of some less then heroic or admirable deeds.  She can't believe this could be true.  She and Gav are bound and determined to find the truth.  And trouble starts again. The White House staff workings are intertwined with this mystery, and the President's young son becomes a bit heroic himself.  This is the sixth book in this series, and hopefully, a seventh is in the works!!

Fun, suspenseful and hard to put down! I love this series and Fonduing Fathers did not disappoint. I enjoyed reading more about Ollie's family. There were twists and turns when Ollie tries to solve the death of her father. It was nice to see Ollie with Gav, her steady boyfriend. I loved this latest book even though the story didn't focus as much on White House intrique. It was nice to see Ollie's relationship develop a little bit more with Josh, the President's son. Can't wait for the next book!

Fans of Julie Hyzy's Ollie Paras will thoroughly enjoy this when Ollie puts her inquisitiveness to work for her own family. The end has been long awaited.
