About the Author

R.L. Kenderson is two best friends writing under one name.

Renae has always loved reading, and in third grade, she wrote her first poem where she learned she might have a knack for this writing thing. Lara remembers sneaking her grandmother’s Harlequin novels when she was probably too young to be reading them, and since then, she knew she wanted to write her own.

When they met in college, they bonded over their love of reading and the TV show Charmed. What really spiced up their friendship was when Lara introduced Renae to romance novels. When they discovered their first vampire romance, they knew there would always be a special place in their hearts for paranormal romance. After being unable to find certain storylines and characteristics they wanted to read about in the hundreds of books they consumed, they decided to write their own.

One lives in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and the other in the Kansas City area where they’re a sonographer/stay-at-home mom/wife and pharmacist/mother by day, and they’re a sexy author by night. They communicate through phone, email, and whole lot of messaging.

You can find them at, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, and Goodreads. Join their Facebook Reader Group. Or you can email them at , or sign up for their newsletter. They always love hearing from their readers.

I have to say this was one of my favorite of the series. Dante was just plain yummy. If you haven’t started the series, you should give it a try.

Oh WOW! This is the story of Phoenix, the cat shifter, and Dante, the vampire. Phoenix has a bad history that makes her leery of the opposite sex. But for some reason she feels safe and secure when with Dante. Dante has fallen for the little cat shifter but is very careful to keep control of how much he wants her. Lexine in the meantime is totally jealous of Phoenix and joins a group that is trying to put a wedge between the vampires and the shifters. When she thinks she;s going to get out, the group does something that keeps her involved. In the meantime the vampire and guardian Hunter learns something about himself when he meets the wolf shifter Quintin. There is alot of back and forth in the stories although the main storyline is the opening up of Phoenix towards Dante. Fantastic story!! This is a fantastic series, in fact I still have the books 1- 3 in paperback of this series when I bought them years ago so I'm glad to find them in Ebook format. Each book deals with one couple with others mingling in the story-line. R.L Kenderson reminds me of J.R, Ward who's books also intermingle among the many characters. The main plot is about Dante and Phoenix. Phoenix and Dante were both abused and hurt by Gerard in the previous book, it was their time together that formed a connection between the two, There is some back and forth as they struggle toward their HEA. Phoenix is insecure and Dante doesn't want to scare her because he senses she's been hurt before. Also there's a sub plot with action and drama, and a "Who's Done It" of someone robbing and burning shifter homes and businesses. Overall, the romance between Dante and Phoenix is hot, the drama and the mystery behind the attacks made this an engaging book. I volunteer to read and review this ARC.

I love all the books from this series! The writers really make you want to know more and more and I can't wait for the next one!! Phoenix has some issues with her body and the opposite sex but she is really comfortable around Dante, the leader of the vampire Guardians. Dante knows he is falling more and more with the cat shifter, specially since he is feeding monthly and only from her, but he knows a bit about her problems and doesn't want to make them worst. When Phoenix realises that if she wants to fulfil her dream she needs to act and forget about her insecurities, she knows Dante is the only one that can help her. Forbidden Addiction was a great paranormal read. This is the first book I've read in the series so I would say that it can be read as a standalone. However, while reading this story, I did get the sense that I missed a few things from not having read the previous books, but having not read them didn't make this read any less enjoyable. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. I enjoyed it so much that I finished this book in one sitting. I liked that each of the couples were in completely different situations and yet they all overcame their fears; well most of them. I'm excited to read more of Hunter and Quentin to see if things come full circle for them. This group definitely worked well as a whole, vampire guardians and shifters. They still have a lot to learn and a lot to change as a group. Phoenix and Dante were my favorite couple but I enjoyed them all; Kenzie & Sawyer, Lexine & Sterling and Vaughn& Naya. This book was full of action, revenge, betrayal and steamy scenes and I look forward to reading more books from this author in the future. There were heartfelt moments and surprises and the ending was sweet. I definitely look forward to reading the previous books and future books in this series, and highly recommend this one to readers who enjoy great paranormal reads

This is book 4 in the series and wow this is the best book out of the 4 of them. This one is Phoenix’s and Dante’s story, Dante is the head of the vampire guardians and Phoenix is a cat shifter. This book had me hooked from the start right up to the very end, absolutely fantastic read. These Forbidden books have put R.L. Kenderson in my top 10 favourite authors and I can’t wait to read more of her work. I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read and it deserves more than 5 ⭐️.

I wanted to enjoy this and for the most part I guess I did kinda. I did think it dragged on a little. There were a lot of different couples in this book which is fine. I was rooting for them all but I wanted a little more of Dante and Phoenix. There is also M/M in this and should be included in the blurb and its not. I'm not bothered by it but I was surprised. Loved both Hunter and Quentin and hopefully we'll get more about what happens with them. I was a little upset with Hunter though. Although I understand where he's coming from but still. Ouch. I'm glad Lexine came around but unfortunately it was a bit too late to save her career but she got Sterling out of the deal which was awesome. Still her betrayal cant be forgiven because at the end of the day thats what it was. I really like this series and I am glad I read it. Hopefully more will come out soon.

This is the fourth book in the series and need to be read in order these are a must read for all paranormal fans I have enjoyed this series and this book does not disappoint. This is Phoenix and Dante's book, she is a cat shifter who refuses to get close to anyone and hides behind frumpy clothes, he is the head of the vampire Guardian's and wants nothing more than to show her its okay to be a sexy woman.I just loved these two they were so perfect together a super read

This is the fourth book in this series that highlights the difficulties between vampires and shapeshifters. It's been a bumpy ride so far but there is finally cooperation between the different species . As this begins though there's a group of vampires determined to destroy the peace and their antics are escalating. Dante has always enjoyed his blood with a healthy side of something decidedly carnal but recently he's been feeding from cat shifter Phoenix and things are just a little bit complicated. Phoenix has huge issues when it comes to intimacy and always keeps everyone at a distance but there's a unique connection between them that neither really know how to broach. Still when Phoenix makes an unusual request of Dante he's not going to pass up a golden opportunity to finally get her to lower her barriers. I did find that there was initially quite a lot of information from previous stories present here so if you haven't read this series in order this does work as a standalone. That being said there are supporting characters in play here who actually at times dominated the plot. Yes it's essentially the book that brings Dante and Phoenix together but honestly for this reader it was everything happening around them that had me sitting up and taking notice. I really like that the authors give us interesting and diverse characters and even though I don't usually read M/M books there is the beginnings of that type of romance here plus a certain jealous Guardian gets a huge wake up call ! Yes this was an entertaining read but I suspect that it will be Dante and his patience that will melt most readers hearts ! This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

Good Read! As this is part of a series I would recommend reading them in order. I like the fact we got a glimpse of the previous couples. Dante and Phoenix are perfect for each other. My only complaint is that we don't get more of their interaction. I would have liked to see a little less of the second, and in this book third story lines, and get more of the main characters. But nun the less I really enjoyed this book as well as the whole series and can't wait for the next book.
