Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus

Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus is often considered as one of the first scientific fictions which bear a typical gothic style of narration.
Set in the Victorian era it's the story about a young scientist (chemist) Victor Frankenstein, who creates a sapient creature with an unorthodox scientific experiment.
His creation is hideous and repulsive so much so that today the very word Frankenstein refers to a monstrous and someone bearing extreme notoriety.
