About the Author

A long-time contributor to Frommer's guides, Elizabeth Heath has also served as editor-in-chief to several regional magazines, and written articles on travel, business, celebrities, politics and lifestyle for local, regional and national publications. After falling in love with Italy on her first trip in 2000, she later fell in love in Italy.

She now lives in the green hills of Umbria with her family, plus five dogs, several hundred olive trees and acres of grapevines. Liz writes about the peculiarities of life in the Italian countryside in her award-winning blog, My Village in Umbria.
