I think it would be a good book for some one who likes to read LOOONNNGGGG books that are fiction. Now l'm not saying that l don't like it or anything but it costs too much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So if your not sure your going to like it just please read the sample first before you buy the book. I'm just saying!!! IT CAN BE A MONEY WASTE!!!!!!!

I loved this book as I do the whole series. I can really get into the characters, I feel that I can just sit down with them when Mel's dad serves dinner. I love the interaction with her father, a gruff man with a soft heart. I like Mel's interaction with Annette, the lead investigator, tough woman but very likeable. A body is found, is it tied in with a haunted home that is trying to be sold? A new character has been introduced, is he trustworthy? Not to mentioned a side story haunt that actually had me laughing. I will definitely will continue on with this series, it has it all for me.

Give Up The Ghost is the sixth book in the A Haunted Home Renovation Mystery series. Andrew Flynt has spent millions on having his home, The Crosswinds, being brought up to date. Whenever the house is shown by the realtor, Karla Buhner, ghostly sounds scares the buyers away. Flynt then has psychic, Chantelle, to so a reading for the house and she determines that the resident ghost is upset with the remodeling that had been done. Flynt then contracts with Mel Turner to restore the house, but before Mel starts, she wants to contact Chantelle to find out what she learned when she did the reading at Crosswinds. When Mel arrives at Chantells apartment she finds her lying on the floor dead and her brother Landon, at kneeling at her side. Landon is in the states as a visiting professor at a local university and even though he and Chantelle were particularly close, Mel still wants to help him get closure and she feels that her murder might, in some way, be related to the ghosts at Crosswinds. As Mel is doing a walk-thru, to get a feel for how big a job she will have restoring Crosswinds to it's former beauty, she finds several old, sepia type pictures strangely appearing. They are of a very attractive young lady. After doing some research on the original owner she finds that Peregrine Summerton, the owner, had a love for photography and the pictures were of his daughter, Flora. Flora, minutes after turning eighteen leaves home, never to be seen again. If the ghosts can be reunited, maybe peace can be restored to Crosswinds. Also, Mel has been asked by her close friend Luz, a professor, to help a group of her students who are renting a house that is also inhabited by a ghost. None of the neighbors know much of the house's history, other than the lady might have murdered her husband there. Mel strives to get the story so that she can convince the ghost to crossover. Ms. Blackwell provides the reader with another exciting “ghost story” with interesting and believable characters. The ghosts are particularly scary, but need someone to understand their dilemma and help with getting a resolution to it. A very enjoyable series and one that I look forward to reading. I will be watching for the next book in the series.
