The author was born in a little town called Santa Margarita, California in 1940. Born with strabismus, an eye condition commonly known as wondering eyes, he was denied depth perception and clean bathroom visits. That gave his mother a superficial reason to torment him, mentally and physically. The abuse was tortuously severe, by both parents, and for various reasons.
