Published by: Tyndale Kids Written by: Sarah Jean Collins I enjoy reading all kinds of children's books but there are times when the number of them that are focused on certain Bible stories can be a little overwhelming. How do I pick one book about creation that is better than all of the others? I was happy to have the chance to read and review God Made the World because I wanted to see what it is was like, to see if it somehow stood above other creation-focused books out there. This book shares the story of creation in a way that is simple and yet interesting. The pictures are artsy. The book, overall, is one that I found to be interesting and refreshing. Who the book is for: This is a book that is good for babies, toddlers, and even a little older of children. Anyone who needs to hear the story of creation. What I liked: This book covers the story of creation in a fresh and new way that got even me thinking. This book is colorful and the pictures are fun for children. This book stays true to the Bible, as far as I could tell. What I didn’t like: There is not really anything in the book that I didn't like. My conclusion: Overall, I like this book. I give God Made the World 5 out of 5 stars. I received this book free to review from Tyndale Blog Network. The opinions expressed in this review are my true thoughts and feeling regarding this book. We just got a copy of God Made The World by Sarah Jean Collins. This perfectly sized board book tells the story of what God created on each new day. At 3, my daughter doesn't necessarily need to continue reading board books. But I prefer them for her still because she likes to crawl up into bed and read. But she's at an age where she wants "big" books instead of the typical little board books that you see for kids. God Made the World is the perfect size for her! It's big enough for her to want to read by herself, but still a board book so I'm not worrying about bent pages. ;) The illustrations in God Made the World are also fun. Collins not only wrote the poetry found on the pages, but she drew the illustrations as well. The pages are filled with geometric patterns and shapes, bright bold colors, and are very eye-catching. I love the cadence of the poetry within these pages. This will be a book I'll end up memorizing because we'll be reading and enjoying it quite often! I received a copy of this book from the publisher. This review is my own, honest opinion.

This is a fun board book that basically outlines the 7 days of Creation. I used this in my Kindergarten homeschool class and the kids love it. It tells the story very concisely just like the Bible does. The illustrations are bold and colorful. It is a quick read if you just flip through, but if you take time to discuss each day of Creation with the children, it makes for a very satisfying session. I received this book from Tyndale in exchange for a review.
