GoFishFriday: The Art Book

Welcome to GoFishFriday: The Art Book - a journey through CatchphraseDan’s #GoFishFriday weekly illustrated playing card project.

Now, as you know, there are 52 weeks in a year, 12 hairs in a sandwich and 52 cards in a merry old deck - how convenient is that? Well, it was very convenient for me, so I packed up my things and began my quest, stopping every Friday to go fish and add a card to the deck.

GoFishFriday - The Art Book contains tales of how the cards were created, such as the time I found myself tied to the roof of a lime green minivan being carried off towards a very shady onion dealer. It also contains a discount code for the #GoFishFriday store which you can use to grab yourself some loot, a flute and a soggy black boot.

Packed to the ceiling with fancy words and over 60 marvellous illustrations, this is the perfect companion to the #GoFishFriday playing card deck, taking you behind the scenes of an illustration project so tremendous that it’ll turn you back to front and steal your turkey sandwiches!

#GoFishFriday Testimonials

“CatchphraseDan found a way to get my son away from his computer screen and out into the fresh air. He's already grown four feet!” - Tina

“I hate fish and I hate Fridays. Why I bought these playing cards I’ll never know.” - Boris

“I was a mere branch before I ordered the #GoFishFriday deck. Now, just three weeks later, I am a tall oak tree of a man. Or a medium height Blue Norwegian Spruce at the very least.” - Johnny the Blue Norwegian Spruce

“I’m a fan of CatchphraseDan and a fan of the #GoFishFriday deck.” - Terry the Ceiling Fan

“These crisps are horrible and bland. I struggled to taste the fish, and I had to choke the last 10 down like a heron. Tasted a bit like cardboard too actually.” - Dennis the Heron

About the Author

CatchphraseDan landed naked on earth in 1991 pretty much like Terminator, if you’ve seen it. He went into a bar full of bikers, took some clothes and a motorcycle, forgot completely about his mission of killing Sarah Conner, and has been residing in the West Midlands ever since.
