Because I have not read book one of this series, I had a little trouble with all the characters and back story in the beginning, but this story soon held me captive. Very likable characters, and enough mystery and suspense to keep you wanting more. Clear, concise writing and easy to follow story line. I don't usually care for books in a series that are not stand alone stories, and this one ends rather abruptly, but it's definitely an ending that has me anxiously awaiting book three. I recommend reading All three books, beginning with book one. I am going to get it and read it now.
Amazing adventure. Looking forward to reading third book. Intelligent written story.
Given To Me For An Honest Review Grey Areas 2: Ghosts of Winter by Brad Carl is the second book of the series and is another great read. Again you'll be reading another page turner with more twists and turns so keep those seatbelts on for more of a wild suspensed filled ride. As you read the story will make you feel drawn in and you will become a part of the story. Henry was charged with murder with murder in Gable. So he left to Canada. But, along with Henry Fields went Barret Greyson and Dan Scotwood. Not only is he running from murder charges everyone else is running after him. Who really is Barret Greyson, Henry Fields, Dan Scotwood? Did he really do the murder? Well, the ending will not let you know..... CLIFFHANGER! This is another great read and I gave it 5 stars but of course it deserves more. I highly recommend this book to everyone especially if you enjoy reading murder, suspense and mystery. Well,Brad we're waiting for #3 so write, write and write more for us. You just keep hitting it out of the ballpark.
Before I read this book, I re-read Grey Areas to keep a nice flow going. Wow, Brad did not disappoint. I couldn't put the book down until I read the last page. Great writing; interesting story line; I can picture it all in my head as I read. Anxiously wating for #3. Kudos to Brad!!
Great Story! Great Author! The continuing adventures of Barrett Greyson as he hops across the country still "on the lam". This book follows the protagonist AND the people whose lives he impacted in a small Iowa town, where he hid out in the last book, until circumstances forced him to flee. This book picks up a little later on and follows Barrett as he continues on his adventures and misadventures. One of the more realistic mysteries where the hero doesn't solve the case by the last page, and everything doesn't always turn out HEA. Mr. Carl is a breath of fresh air on the new author landscape, with a bright future. He does an excellent job of keeping the plot tight and creating enough cliffhangers to keep you coming back. Worth the read, and worth following! I am getting jazzed about the next book in the series! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
