this is my favorite baby book. this is one of four that we give at baby showers. we've noticed that very few people give books at showers. this purchase was for my sister-in-law. as she began opening it, she started to cry when she realized what the gift was, because she used to read all these books to my daughter when she was small.

I watch this series with my grandson every night at bedtime. It is truly beautifully written and illustrated. Everyone is full of good morals and good examples: The loving and respectful character interaction; The spotlight, on the magnificence of nature and the never ending adventures that exist there; The peaceful world in which they live without unfriendly characters or danger; and, Big Nut Brown Hare does a fine job of nurturing and gently guiding Little Nut Brown Hare to make his own wise, thoughtful choices and to solve child-sized problems.

I have given the book and the Nutbrown Hare stuffed animal to two families - they are thrilled to receive reminders of their own loving histories. How many children have said to their loved ones, "I love you THIS much!" as they spread their arms as far as they will go? A real treasure.

'Guess How Much I Love You' is just a great children's book. It is very sweet and beautiful with so many great illustrations! At our school we know how important it is to maintain a summer reading program for your children - studies show that over time (many school years) children whose parents do not make the effort to have them read during vacation - well, they do fall behind. The perception can be created that they are not as bright as the other students. So - please read to your children this summer!!!

This is a great read for kids, and both of my girls have enjoyed it at various ages. The pictures are good, the imagery is good, and the sentiment is good.

I really like this book. It is a sweet story of a mother bunny and her little bunny. The mother bunny is trying to explain to the little bunny just how much she cares for her little bunny. The illustrations in this book are amazing and really capture the love between mother and child. This little bunny is so sweet and innocent. You will love reading this book to your children and telling them just how much you love them! I highly recommend this book to people of many ages!

This book makes for a special bedtime story read by Dad (can be read by Mom, too). The illustrations and story are excellent and makes a great collection in your toddler's library for bedtime stories. This is the type of book your child will pass on to their own children. Some examples from the large, hard-bound book: "I love you right up to the moon, he said and closed his eyes. Oh, that's far, said Big Nutbrown Hare. That is very, very, far." "Big Nutbrown Hare settled Little Nutbrown Hare into his bed of leaves. He leaned over and kissed him good night."

I am 19 years old and I can openly say that I still love this book, it is terribly cute story. My family used to to read it to me at night, and when I am older I will for sure read to my kids. I have also used the book when babysitting and kids love it! its so excellent! :D

This book bothers me on several levels. First, its story depends entirely too much on repetition. I get that kids enjoy repeating phrases but McBratney takes that formula to the nth degree. As an adult, this makes it a chore to read. Many others have rhapsodized about its supposed message of the limitless love a parent holds for their children. As a new parent myself, I'm beginning to understand such love, but very little of it owes its existence to words. Children should learn that love depends on actions. Because of his constant one-upmanship and smug superiority complex, Big Nutbrown Hare must rank among the most annoying children's book characters of all time. My advice to Little Nutbrown Hare: go run away to Frog and Toad, who demonstrate their love for each other on every page without ever giving it a name. He'd also feel comfortable with their world's similarly earthen color-scheme. My final knock against this "classic" book: it seems designed for its marketing potential. If I pass another "To the moon and back" tote bag or wall hanging I think I might puke to the moon. And back.

My 5 year old son absolutely loves this book...very sweet and gentle. He always makes up his own comparisons of how much he loves me when we finish. It is a great book to get cozy with at the end of a busy day!
