Praise for Half-Blood Dragon:
"Beautifully written you will devour every page in one sitting. I know I did!" -Erin Bedford, USA Today bestselling author of Grinding Lightning.
"Another great story from K.N. Lee that pulls you in from the very beginning. With pirates, dragons, magic and mermaids; this is a book to hit every one of your favorite topics. It was a quick read that leaves you to wanting more. After I finished reading all I was hoping was that there was a second story to come. Like always, K.N. Lee was able to depict a story that you get immersed in, along with you falling in love with the characters."- M.M. Chabot, author.
"Don't blink. This short-form, high fantasy offering from KN Lee packs so much into it, you should plan to read it twice. Once because you can't put it down, and again to catch everything you miss the first time through. All the emotions are accounted for...now if the author would just give me the answers already. Book II can't hit soon enough." -Savannah Verte, award-winning author of Viva Zapata
"K.N. Lee has brought us dragons in a way you've never seen them before. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!"- S.J. Cairns, bestselling author of Soul Discovery
"With a gentle touch but real emotions, Half-Blood Dragon uses magic, adventure, love, and betrayal to give us a mirror for our own society. Through the entire book, we meet characters who are stripped of choices solely because of things they can't control about their "blood."I'm really intrigued to see where the next two books take us. There are so many questions we need answers to. I want to know more about the Red Dragon, what Rickard really wants, what's going to happen to Rowen, and will Gavin ever have a moment where he doesn't get on Elian's nerves, LOL! Great job to K.N. Lee and hoping the sequels come soon!"- Cait Reynolds, bestselling author of Downcast.

A decent start to a story but way too short. This is a novella, it’s listed as 200 pages, but I think that would mean you are using a larger font size than average. There was just enough world building to get by. Because the book is so short there really wasn’t enough time to build character relationships. Also there seemed to be some confusion in the writing on the type of person the heroine is. First she is portrayed as naive, then a schemer, then right back to naive. Again, because the story was so short the shifts in her personality couldn’t really be justified. This book is part of a trilogy that is being re-released. To me this story would’ve been better served combining all the parts into one book, making it a decent length. It seems that this is being redone under a publisher with grammatical and spelling corrections, but it could’ve used an editorial brush up as well. That being said I am curious to see where the story goes and would most likely read the next installment. This is one of the series you read to distract yourself while waiting for a anticipated book.

Title: Half-Blood Dragon Author: K.N. Lee Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy Format: Ebook Pages: 201 Rating: 5 Heat: 3 Thoughts: Wow, this was so much fun to read! We know as much as Rowen, which isn't much. I love stories like this!! It's so unpredictable which keeps me glued to the pages, hoping for just one more hint as to what's going to happen. Even after reading the last word there are so many questions that I can't wait to get the answers to. There seem to be so many agendas and who knows all the players involved, or who's agenda is going to play out. Plus, dragons, how can you not want to read this?

It's a great story. But then you go and cut it off way to soon. I mean seriously, not even 200 pages long. Please give the next one some meat. I hate being yanked out of a beautiful world so suddenly.
