What People are Saying About This

From the Publisher

Praise for He Is Enough

Looking for a way to study the Bible no matter your season of life? Look no further than Asheritah’s He Is Enough. As a busy mom of four kids, I especially appreciated how this study is formatted to give me both “snacks” to meditate on all during my day and “feasts” on God’s Word when time allows.

I’m so grateful there are women like Asheritah in my generation—who know the Word, who crave the Word, who teach the Word well. I fully endorse this study—terrific both for individual or a small group study!

Working through He Is Enough felt like sitting down with Asheritah at a kitchen table over coffee, with Bibles open and kids playing in the background. The tone is relatable, warm, and real, and the content is deeply nourishing and challenging. This Bible study has been the ushering into the presence of God that I was longing for during a stressful season of life. I didn’t know I had so much to learn from what was already one of my favorite books, Colossians!

Finally a Bible study made for women in different seasons of life! The lessons found in the book of Colossians and in He Is Enough are rich. They will challenge you to connect the struggles of your daily grind to God’s sufficiency, and they will lead you to correct your wrong thinking with scriptural truths that arerooted in the grace and power of Jesus If you’re ready to understand and embrace the life-altering fullness offered to you in Christ, then don’t hesitate to take this sacred walk with Asheritah.

He Is Enough: Living in the Fullness of Jesus (A Study in Colossians), by Asheritah Ciuciu is an in-depth study of Colossians, as the title indicates. This six-week bible study is primarily about studying and knowing that Jesus is enough. It allows three options of study, based on the reader's time and season in life. Also, this book features scripture memorization and lovely coloring pages alongside this spiritual journey. This book is divided into eleven sections, which are titled as Why Study Colossians?, Making the Most of This Study, Some Background on Colossians, Week One: Praying through Christ, Week Two: Rejoicing in Christ, Week Three: Complete in Christ, Week Four: Hidden with Christ, Week Five: Loving like Christ, Week Six: Ministering with Christ, Daily Main Ideas Guide, and Serving and Leading: Devotional Guide for Leaders. Also, there are additional sections titled as Notes and Acknowledgments. He Is Enough is geared towards various ages, from young adults to older generations. This book is designed for individual study or small group bible studies, and it's even adaptable for larger church groups. It's a highly recommended in-depth bible study. Note: I received this book from Moody Newsroom, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

He Is Enough provides an insightful and encouraging study on the book of Colossians. The format offers two options for each day: a quick and simple route, and a more in-depth study. There is a lot to love about this book, and I hope that fact will shine through by the end of my review! I'll admit, I struggled. As in, I received the Bible study in June 2018, did some of it that summer, and then didn't finish until the first month of 2019. I think there might be a few reasons for that, one being that, as a reviewer, it feels like there might be a bit more pressure in approaching the study and being thorough about it. The truth is, I wasn't as thorough as I probably should have been. I started out trying to answer most of the questions, but I quickly (sadly) ditched that route. I figured if I wanted to actually make it through the Bible study in order to review it, I "needed" to be willing to skip questions (read them, but not answer them all). Honestly, the book provides that sort of grace already in its format, by giving you a choice each day on how in-depth you'll go. I just chose a different route, of sorts, by reading through the longer sections and choosing which questions to answer. It's not that I recommend this path; I just want to be up-front in my review. If I had put more time into answering questions than the weekly coloring, that might have been an even better choice. (Although I did appreciate the lovely coloring pages!) All that to say, if you go the long ("FEAST") route each day and answer every question (or even go through the leaders' guide in the back along with the study), it's going to take time and energy. It's going to take a big commitment. But in the end, you're likely to get a lot more out of the experience and have an even richer understanding of Colossians. Now, did I still find it worthwhile to go through even some of the study? Absolutely! I'm truly grateful for God's gracious timing, because there was a day in Week 3 of the study (which I didn't get to until this month) that touched me deeply. I ended up journaling about it and was so blessed by the way God's Word lovingly spoke to my struggles and wrong attitudes. And I'm grateful this Bible study pointed me to those verses and helped me in pondering them afresh. And it's not just that day's lesson that was meaningful to me. There's plenty more to gain in studying Colossians and having a better understanding of particular passages and the main message. This study is great about helping you really observe the biblical text, and it also gives an awesome and useful tip for memorizing verses, so we can better hide God's Word in our hearts (see Psalm 119:11). Whether this study takes you six weeks or six months, and even if you find yourself "snacking" more often than "FEAST-ing," there's a lot to learn from it. Colossians is most definitely worth diving into, and the truth of Jesus's sufficiency is vital to dwell on and remember. In He Is Enough, you'll find lots of great info, food for thought, important questions to address, and various extras to help you get into God's Word. *With thanks to Moody Publishers for providing me with a complimentary copy of this book. As a woman who takes Bible Study seriously, it is refreshing to see this book come out! This author has sent hours digging into the depths of His Word and helps us as readers to dig in as well. She helps with offering different options to digging in. You can go quick or you can go long. She mentions word definitions and historical context. She helps with ideas for application such as are there areas in your life that you haven’t believed that Christ is enough. It’s not about having more knowledge alone from living it. It’s about learning, understanding, applying, and sharing it with others. It’s internal, powerful, and missional. I can’t wait to read another by this author and highly recommend this book. Because HE IS ENOUGH! I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

In a world where so much feels out of control, it is important to remember that God is sovereign. It's not enough to know that God is in control and that he is enough for us. We must live it out. I jumped into Asheritah Ciuciu's new study He is Enough: Living in the Fullness of Jesus. This six-week study is a deep dive into the book of Colossians. And when I say a deep dive, I mean taking this book apart in small bitesize chunks that allowed me to connect with what Paul was saying in ways I never have before.  Before the idea of a deep dive scares you, let me reassure you - you can do this study. Ciuciu knows that each day brings with it it's own time constraints. So she's built in two different types of study for each day! For the days when you have a smaller amount of time, you can do the "Snack on the Go." This allows you to connect with the scriptures for the day, ponder what it means and go into your day dwelling on what you've learned. For the days that you have a longer time to study, you can do those deep dives. Ciuciu asks you to truly engage with the scripture. To do this, she applies the FEAST method -Focus on God, Engage the text, Assess the main idea, Spark transformation, and Turn to God in worship. This allows you to engage with scripture in multiple ways. It was also more helpful to carry the scripture with me throughout the day. I can tell Ciuciu did a large amount of research for this study based on the information provided in the introductions and in the questions she asks us to ponder as we look at each days pocket of scripture. I learned a lot from doing the homework and really worshiping God through what I learned. He is Enough gives you the freedom to dig into scripture, provides ways to stay on track even on those days when finding quiet space is tough and truly learn to lean into God on the tough days. I wish that there had been a little more context within the questions for each day's homework. Most of the time, I was able to track along with what Ciuciu was asking us to think about. But there were moments in the study where I wasn't sure what I needed to be focusing on. It could have been because I was using a different translation to study from. But occasionally, the words in my Bible did not line up with the way a question was asked, and I wasn't able to fully answer the question or dig in as deeply. He is enough for us. The full life comes when we live recognizing that God gives us what we need. We have to turn to him in order to get what we feel we are lacking.  I received a copy of this book from the publisher. This review is my own, honest opinion.

Within our daily lives we are constantly left wondering what if I had done this, or what if I had that? Especially as a mom I am left asking these questions daily. What if I told you there is only 1 thing you need in your life for it to be complete? What is that 1 thing you need you ask? Jesus Christ I have been working on this wonderful Bible study, my 1st one to be exact: He is Enough: Living in the Fullness of Jesus by Asheritah Ciuciu. It’s a 6 week, 5 days a week, Bible study taking you through the book of Colossians. It includes reading, memory versus, answering questions, journaling and prayer. Each week also features a memory verse coloring page. This book is for everyone, no matter how busy your schedule. It is broken down into 2 parts: Snack (small, shorter study only takes a few minutes a day) and Feast ( a longer, more in depth study taking more time to complete). Each week is filled with new versus, messages and study. For example Week One: Praying Through Christ. It starts to describe how to start a relationship with God and that is through prayer. Sometimes prayer is often thought to be a time to ask God for help, but we need to realize all the good HE has already done in our life and give thanks. Throughout the study there is mention of some helpful additional resources to visit, videos to watch or verses to read. This study can be done alone or with others. You can do as little or as much as you want. Start the day with Snack and come back to Feast later, like I said this Bible study has something for everyone. It has really opened up my heart and mind, and come to realize what I have is enough. I received a free copy from Moody Publishing in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are always my own.

The first thing you'll notice about this Bible study is how absolutely gorgeous it is! It is so very eye appealing from the front cover to the back. I felt like so much thought was put into this study. Of course, how it looks doesn't mean anything if it isn't Biblical or doesn't teach us anything about God. However, this study definitely does just that and is excellent in bringing you to a closer relationship with the Lord and knowing Him more intimately. Being that it's published by Moody Publishers gives me assurance that it's going to be Biblical and I can trust what I'm reading and learning about. I am enjoying doing this study so much. It digs deep, which I like, without feeling like I don't have the time to do it. I like that the author really keeps the focus on Jesus and how important it is to focus on Him. The study titles for the weeks include: Praying through Christ Rejoicing in Christ Complete in Christ Hidden with Christ Loving like Christ and Ministering with Christ. There are a lot of extras in the book including a devotional guide for leaders. This study has been excellent doing it on my own but would be fantastic for a small group or Women's Bible study in church. I have learned so much doing this study, and although I haven't quite finished it, I plan to do so because it's one of the best studies I've done. I really like that I'm learning so much about Jesus and that He truly is enough in all situations. I recommend this study very highly as an wonderful study for all women. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. *This book was provided to me for my honest review by Side Door Communications

He Is Enough: Living in the fullness of Jesus by Asheritah Ciuciu is a 6 week study on the book of Colossians. Taking us verse by verse, this study gives an easy to understand and overview of the book. The basic theme of the study is: Jesus is enough. In a time when we are being bombarded with messages which tell us we need more, or different, or better, we can easily lose sight of what is truly needed. This study brings us back to the truth that Christ is sufficient for each need and day. We live in a hectic world. There’s hardly a moment of silence from the moment we wake up to the moment we close our eyes to sleep. And yet, it’s in the midst of this busyness, that our heavenly Father wants to speak to us, to remind us of who He is and who we are in Him. (from page 25 of the study) Recognizing the busyness we all face, the author has given two options for each day of study. The “Snack On The Go” for those days when three minutes is about all the time you have to give. Here you find a short thought to keep reflecting on throughout the day. On the days when you have time to linger, you can FEAST. Here you will find a deeper study using observation, interpretation, application, and adoration. You will get to study on your own as you learn the steps of FEAST: Focus on God; Engage the text; Assess the main idea; Spark transformation which is where you apply the main idea to your own life; and Turn to God in worship. Some days you will snack and other days, you’ll feast. Using either option, you will grow in your knowledge of Scripture. The study also includes a devotional guide for leaders – those serving and leading others. This section is written specifically for women in ministry to supplement the study. Whether new to Bible study or a seasoned student, this study has much to offer. The author includes use of Bible dictionaries and commentaries, and shares links for both throughout the study. This is an encouraging study sure to ignite and renew a hunger and desire for Jesus and God’s Word. *I was provided a copy of this book by Moody Publishers for review.
