I was not expecting this to make such a profound effect on me. I have only been using since May. I suggest it to people looking for answers to fracture lives for many different reasons.

Mary DeMuth continues to write with an authentic heart that connects with each of her readers. As I have read 3 weeks into this 90 day devotional, I marvel at how each day my heart and mind are touched by shared thoughts and feels Mary expresses. I appreciate her incorporation of Biblical characters who also share our thoughts and emotions. God is active in readers’ hearts as you drink in this living water daily.

In this book, Mary DeMuth invites you on a journey, one that's not easy, but one you don't have to do alone. She invites you to join her walk through each book of the Bible, discovering God's healing stories along the way. This is not a book of cheesy christian nonsense, this is real and raw healing that requires action internally and externally. If you ever feel like you can't share your story and that no one will understand, read this book and open your heart to God, because "Healing is hard. It is brave. And it takes whole hearted devotion - not to formulas or systems, but to the One who created you." - Mary DeMuth, Healing Every Day

Have you survived trauma? Are you in the middle of a difficult experience? Have you gone through abuse of some kind? Lost a loved one? If you're going through or still recovering from one of life's many challenges, this book is for you. Mary writes with compassion and truth. She knows life is hard, and she's not afraid to say that. She's also not afraid to offer the hope God has shown her through His word. I highly recommend this book. I had an advanced PDF copy as part of the launch team.

Author Mary DeMuth continues to encourage readers with this 90 day devotional that is similar to her other devotional, "Jesus Every Day." This book in particular finds an important audience: survivors of abuse. With the exposing of many instances of abuse both in and out of the church, many of those victims have been left to deal with the repercussions of someone else's actions without support or encouragement to overcome. As a survivor, Mary addresses sensitive topics in a way that is honest, vulnerable and encouraging. She takes things slowly, leading the reader down a pathway that at times can be difficult, but never leaving them to face situations alone. Processing past abuse is not an easy prospect, but having resources like Mary's makes all the difference. Her writing style is like that of a friend sharing with you over coffee I would recommend this book to anyone who has dealt with past trauma or abuse, for pastoral or lay leaders in church, counselors and teachers alike. Part of conquering trauma is found in community with those who can truly understand your pain, which this author can. DeMuth is an advocate, a justice seeker and a friend who has been where you are. Do not miss this resource. Each devotion is short enough that it allows for time to reflect, but not so heavy that it brings any extra stress or challenge along. While the subject matter can be tough, DeMuth's writing always offers the hope found only in Jesus Christ. I enjoyed the opportunity to read a PDF version early thanks to Harvest House Publishers and feel blessed that in an era of "me, too," we have voices like Mary's that stand up, fight back and reclaim what the enemy thought he had stolen.

"please take my hand today and be a gentleman healer." This one line has caused me to pause and meditate on Jesus gently extending his hand to me. It will not leave me. If you are looking for a devotional that takes you through the Bible in 90 days on a journey of healing, pick this up. It will leave you wanting to linger with Jesus a while.
