I met Joan at a writer's conference and got a copy of her book. I was intriqued by the cover. Joan was a little excited. Her book was selling really well, and was going into second printing. She should be excited. Finally I got around to reading a chapter or two. The truth is undeniable. The hope is reviving. The potential is unlimited. You might as well get yourself a copy. Healing the Whole Man may be the cheapest fix for what ails you - spiritually and physically - that you could ever buy.

I had been intensely studying divine healing for nearly three years when I met Joan Hunter. I had been praying for others throughout that period, but without consistent results. That never deterred me but definitely frustrated me. Joan made a visit to Little Sioux, Nebraska, in July 2005. Honestly, I wasn¿t expecting much! (No reflection on Joan. I had stopped expecting breakthroughs, especially in my own healing.) When she heard a specific word about me, which the Lord had only shared with me and one other person, I knew that I could trust her. I signed up to participate in the healing explosion she was holding in Sioux City in September 2005. After several days of watching Joan minister to people with great success, using a very simple, non-flamboyant approach, I was eager ¿ if still nervous ¿ to minister to people myself. Before the public healing service, I simply prayed, ¿Lord, send me people I can help.¿ I prayed for three people that night, and the Lord healed them all ¿ much to my surprise! Before I prayed, I told them that we¿d be following the instructions in Joan¿s book, Healing the Whole Man. We did, to a letter. As we were walking to a chair to ¿grow out¿ a woman¿s leg (pray for proper alignment, length and strength), she exclaimed that her hip suddenly no longer hurt, and all the ¿grinding¿ had disappeared. She¿d heard some ¿popping¿ and the pain left. I believe we¿d prayed that the vertebrae would return to their proper position. While I remember the woman, I don¿t remember her exact complaint or exactly what I said ¿ which is actually the great thing about Joan¿s book. You don¿t have to remember everything¿s that in it. You learn the basics, relying on the foundation that the Lord wants to heal through YOU and trusting in your authority THROUGH HIM, and use the book as a practical reference tool. I used to keep a log book with all those I¿d prayed for, so I could remember them and their results. Now I just pray for whomever, wherever - so many times that I can¿t keep track of them all. But a few stand out in my memory. As a lay minister with an elderly ministry (Desert Ministries), I have ample opportunity to connect with and pray for people. At one of our visits, I spoke with a woman with poor sight. I asked if I could pray for her eyes. She agreed. Not having Joan¿s book, I wasn¿t sure what to pray, but I did, anyway. Not much success, sadly. But she was undaunted. ¿Could you pray for my back and hips?¿ I asked for some details, then prayed according to what I¿d learned from Healing the Whole Man. She got up to walk me to the door, and said, ¿Boy, it sure feels good to walk and not have all that pain.¿ Faithless me, I said, ¿You¿re kidding. You don¿t have pain? Your hip and back feel better?¿ She replied, ¿Yes, sweetheart. Thank you so much for praying for me.¿ Another woman, who¿d heard me on the radio, e-mailed me about a message I¿d written. We got to know one another, and I learned about her long history of back pain and disease. She agreed to let me pray for her. To make a long story short, she, too was completely healed. All of her pain disappeared, the feeling in her feet returned, the burning sensation in her hip left, and in her words, ¿I walked in here with a limp, and I¿m walking out straight!¿ As wonderful as it was to see her freed from 20 years of pain, it was even better to see the change in her heart. She had carried around anger at her doctors, because her condition had been caused ¿entirely by medical intervention.¿ As I led her through the prayers of forgiveness I¿d learned from Healing the Whole Man, I saw a visible change in her countenance. She has felt greater peace ever since. And she has experienced a renewed relationship with God, by whom she had felt abandoned and betrayed. She now knows His love, once again. And there is NO
