A business trip to Vegas offers Jenna a sexy one-week stand, in this strong debut novel from Jessica Marin.
The last thing Jenna Pruitt has time for is sinfully gorgeous movie star, Cal Harrington. Meeting him in first class should have ended there on the plane, but after a failed marriage, she finds herself drawn in to his desire for her. Needing a little fun in life, she can't help but agree to spend the week with him.
No strings, no expectations. Just one sexy week in Vegas, and Jenna can put him, and their time together, behind her. She doesn't want the life that Cal comes with, but the further into the week they get, the more her heart and mind battle.
When he burns her with his kisses, her heart wants him.
But at the same time, her brain knows Cal has nothing but 'heartbreak' written all over his well-defined body.
One thing is certain.
Jenna's about to lose herself to heartbreak warfare.

Heartbreak Warfare is the first installment in the Let Me In series by Jessica Marin. Cal Harrington is an actor. Jenna is a blogger and an event planner. When they get together in Vegas its only supposed to be for the week. But the heart isn't one to be ignored. Typically this is where I would start in about getting lost in the book because it was just that great. However, I am not one to lie and I could not get into this book at all. I usually go for these types of books but for some reason the main characters didn’t have that spark for me. I felt that their chemistry was forced and that Jenna moved a bit fast after meeting Cal, especially considering she had sworn off men. There just needed to more of connection and maybe a little of courting on Cal's part. Don't get me wrong, the writing is good and the story one that I would normally love. I just wasn't invested in these two as a couple. They didn't work together for me. Maybe the next installment to this series will capture my attention better. 3 stars. *Review by Elizabeth, Late Night Reviewer for Up All Night w/ Books Blog*
It's 270 pages long. I know it is a good book when I feel the emotions that the author wants you to feel, I even laughed out loud and that is plus! I love all kinds of romance books from clean to smutty, this has the right amount of steamy sex scene in it to enjoy, will definitely read more books from this author!
