Luke Timothy Johnson is R. W. Woodruff Professor of New Testament and Christian Origins at Candler School of Theology, Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the author of more than twenty books on the New Testament, and is one of the world's best-known scholars of early Christianity.
