Her Small-Town Romance ( Love Inspired ) By: Jill Kemerer Wow, what a delightful story. This is my first to read by Jill Kemerer , but hopefully wan’t be my last. Loved the story and the characters, both were easy to follow. Kemerer pens a very good, clean, inspirational romance. She did not disappoint me. The author had me hooked right from the start. I laughed and at times i felt tears in my eyes. Jade moves to Lake Endwell Michigan for a new start. She is also trying to over come a fear she has . Bryan is a local wilderness guide and very good at his job. He is also trying to get over something in his past. Both Jade and Bryan only wants to be friends. I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review.
This book had my full attention from the first page and wouldn't let me go! It started out as adorable, then became humorous, then went on to sweet, lots of healing occurred for both main characters Jade and Bryan, lots of family scenes that made this book enchanting, a beautiful friendship develops between Jade and Bryan but there were hints of romance that had me smiling, then the book becomes touching, and finally it completely moves me as it concludes and my heart was so fully satisfied.....this is my first time reading Kemerer, but wow, I want more of her stories after this one! Loved Aunt Sally, Libby, and Teeny the dog. It was SUCH a pleasure reading Jade's journey and how she gradually conquers her fear of being outdoors after a traumatic experience she had as a child. LOOOOOVED her character from the start!! She is adorable, kind, compassionate, sweet, and SOOOO good with Teeny after the ENTIRE Sheffield family dislikes the poor untrained dog :) One of my fave scenes is when Bryan agrees to watch Pride and Prejudice (Keira Knightley version which I loved) with Jade to take her mind off the storm going on, PRICELESS :) I highly recommend this book just because it's fun, shows the great points about living in a small town (truly fell in love with the setting and the tree with the initials in it---see the wonderful cover), shows two great people who lose touch with their faith and then have the chance to heal from their past, and has other wonderful characters that truly add to the plot in special ways. Will definitely be reading this one again! Thanks to the author for the review copy provided, this one really blessed me and these are my honest thoughts.
