Hera of Komi

Hera is a middle-aged widow living a simple life on a moon in the outer rim of the galaxy. For religious reasons, her people abandoned technology long ago. But one day, she hears the voice of a young boy via one piece of technology which got preserved - an ancient device called an ansible. "Please help me," the voice simply says. Hera is deeply moved and feels compelled to go rescue him. But with no technology, no skills, and little practical experience, her wish seems hopelessly impossible...
