High Speed Holiday is the conclusion to the Roads to Danger series by Kate Lee. The Spencer’s have discovered that their baby brother survived the car crash that killed their parents. Because of the large inheritance, several men have come forward to say they are the brother. Ian/Luke is a construction worker and finds out that he may be the long lost brother. He arrives in town and get almost immediately is shot at. He thinks it is the siblings trying to keep him from his inheritance. Chief of Police, Sylvie, doesn’t believe her friends would do that so she sets out to protect him and find the real shooters. I loved that this story was about Sylvie. She was a single mom with a teenage boy. There are some great scenes with her and her son, Jaxon. Wade and Roni, the siblings each have had their own book and play a role in this one. You can read it as a stand-alone but I highly recommend reading them in order. There is a lot of action, a faith element and a sweet romance.
