Holland

Nestled between the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, the town that would become Holland was founded by Arthur Humphrey, Abner Currier, and Jared Scott, who traveled from Vermont by oxen in 1807 and settled in a beautiful valley that was once an Indian trail. In 1818, the town of Willink was divided into three towns: Holland, Aurora, and Wales; Holland became a township in April 1818.
