Holy Hustle has such a powerful message & so much practical help for how to work hard for Gods purpose and then, confidently rest well in His grace. Here are a couple snippets of truth from inside Holy Hustle: What you begin in faith, God will finish with a flourish. (page 61); Holy hustle is about changing our thinking from Whats in it for me? to How can I serve? (Page 107); and Although we might be the last ones to cross the finish line, our hustle is no less holy than the one who crossed first. (Page 146) ... This book is so encouraging! I did receive a complimentary book, but my review is not based on this perk.

Crystal Stine introduces us to a more balanced scriptural way to approach our lives.  There must be balance.  We must do the work God calls us to do... not more and not less... not what the world tells us to do.... just what God tells us to do in whatever season of life we are in.  If we work too hard or rest too much both extremes can be damaging to us.  This approach is nothing new but it is something that is not talked about much... we see all of this in scripture. God's way of doing business and daily life should be all about living a life surrendered to Him and His purpose for our life.  If we live out His plan instead of our plan or the world's plan there is joy, success, and true rest. In scripture we see people working hard for what they want to accomplish.  We are told not to be slothful... if you don't work you don't eat.  Work is important and our own individual work is important to the world around us.  God has a role for us to fill while we are here and we should seek to fulfill that.  We do need to work hard but we are also commanded to rest.  We need time to recover from the busy and the stress and take time to be holy... to be with our families... to take care of ourselves by taking care of the body.... eating right, sleeping well, exercising, spending time with God each day.  All of those acts of rest/care are important, too.   Crystal addresses ALL of these issues.  This book is a balanced approach, not only to business owners, but to women and men everywhere no matter what their work is... homemakers, volunteers, employees and employers alike.  This is an important message.  Crystal shares loads of scripture with us to bring our focus upon pleasing God with our work and our rest.  The end of each chapter has a passage for reflection and pages to write your own thoughts, prayers and goals to accomplish these things.  This book is designed to give information, reflect upon spiritual truths and to share with others as you study together.  It is a valuable book many of us can glean from in a variety of ways.  I encourage you to pick this one up and begin your journey to a more balanced life.  A life that will glorify God and bless those around you.  Our ultimate goal is to bring glory to Him.   There is only one thing I would change about the book... I would not use the Message Paraphrase as a main source for scripture references.  If you read anything by me you know why I feel that way.  That being said, it is still a fantastic message and I highly recommend the book to anyone seeking to please God through their work each day.   This book was given to me free of charge through Harvest House Publishing .  I have been asked to read it and be honest in my review of it.  You got my full honesty here!  I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars.

I devour books. However, I made my way through Holy Hustle slowly and intentionally. Crystal Stine’s message left me with so much to reflect upon. This book was a wonderful reminder that work has value, and so does rest. I learned from Holy Hustle that it’s okay to say no to the good things in life to be free to say yes to the one special thing God has planned. Furthermore, I loved the Bible applications and the chance to journal provided in Holy Hustle. I highly recommend this book to anyone who finds it difficult to find a healthy balance between restfulness and hustle. I received an advanced copy from the publisher and bought one for a friend. This is my honest opinion.

This is a much-needed message for our society today. I love this message of Work Hard Rest Well. I don't think we can do one well without the other. This is a "breathe of fresh air" (or maybe a "sigh of relief") for those who are in the hustle but want to do it well and for the Lord. Holy Hustle is full of truth nuggets, Scripture, stories, reflection opportunities, and ways to dig deeper. My prayer is for more people to figure out what real success look likes and find purpose in why they work and the need for rest. Thank you, Crystal!

For my entire life I have worked full-time while also having children, a husband and being involved with activities at church and in the community. When I heard about the book, Holy Hustle, I thought “that book was written for me”! I have hustled for almost all of my life, but too often have not felt very holy. Chrystal Stine’s book will be appropriate to any woman who feels overwhelmed by all of the busyness in her life. Each chapter includes questions for personal reflection as well a space to journal answers. Use this book to help you discover God’s peace and purposes for your life. I received an advanced copy from the publisher but these are my honest opinions about the contents.

I loved Holy Hustle. Most of the book focused on working with purpose for the Lord. The last chapter focused on resting well and how that looks different for each person. My personal favorite chapter was three where she is talking about sometimes wishing she was one of the large LEGO blocks that help build the structure, but then realizes the small pieces are the ones that make a big difference. As an introvert, that really resonated with me.

In a noisy world, it's hard to stay focused on the work God has in front of you. Discouragement, discontent, and fatigue can stop forward momentum. Crystal Stine invites readers to sit down and rest a while. She whispers biblical truths in a gentle way, encouraging readers to step forward in faith. Holy Hustle is the perfect read for creatives, writers, ministry leaders, and any woman with a desire to do big things for God. When I finished the book, I felt refreshed and ready to move forward in my calling. *I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the publisher.

Holy Hustle came at a perfect time in my life. I had been struggling to find a balance between family and work. I felt guilty working because I worried I was neglecting my kids, but if I just played with them, I felt like I was being unproductive and wasting my time. I picked up this book because I wanted a healthy balance so bad. I wanted to fight off all the guilt I was feeling and step into healthy work/rest balance. Not only did this book speak truth and life into my heart on the work/rest balance, it also lifted me up out of a lie I was believing. The lie that my work wasn’t good enough, or big enough. Crystal spoke to my heart in ways I didn’t know it needed spoken to. She spoke on the truth that whatever work we do, if it is for the glory of God, it is important, significant, and enough. It doesn’t matter how big or small from human eyes it is, if it is for God’s kingdom it is important. When I first picked up this book, I assumed it was for working women. That is not the case, this book is for every woman out there because we all work whether that work is paid or unpaid. This book is for the stay at home mom to the working business woman. I recommend it to every woman because not only is it easy to get caught up in too much rest or too much work, can also believe the lie that our work isn’t good enough. I love this book because the content is amazing and speaks so much truth, but I also love it because of how it is structured. In every chapter Crystal includes a Holy Hustle story from someone, scripture to dig deeper, and a reflection section with journaling space. Not only do you read this book, you interact with it. If you are a woman struggling to find balance between rest and work, this book is for you. But it doesn’t end there, this book is for every woman out there because it is a book on much more than just work and rest. It weaves scriptural truth into our daily lives in an incredible way, and is a push of confidence to move us forward in our calling in God’s kingdom.

I have followed Crystal for a while now and have seen her live out the message of Holy Hustle. I am so thankful that God gave her this message to share with women like me. I relate to the struggle to strive and “keep up with the Joneses” in the workforce all the while knowing that God is calling me to rest. “Hustle” is a word often used for entrepreneurs but Crystal adds the word “Holy” to it and shows us what it means to Hustle for our Lord. Some of my favorite quotes are: "Holy hustle means standing firm and taking up the space God has called you to, choosing a life of faith, even if it never brings fame." "When we strive to fix things on our own in big ways, we miss the small gifts God has set in place for us." I HIGHLY recommend this book! Grab your girlfriends together for a book club, or Bible study this summer, you won’t be disappointed!

Go, go, go…that’s what society says. The busier we are the better. The higher you climb the more it matters. But are we like a hamster running on our own wheel of life or are we actually working towards God’s glory? In this book, Crystal isn’t saying that working hard is wrong, she’s simply sharing that rest is necessary to be our best self. “The work is good but the rest is Holy.” Crystal understands the value of hard work but also recognizes the need for rest. She gently reminds us it’s important to keep God at the forefront of all we do and constantly “check in” with Him. She also reminds us that whatever our “work” is, it matters and we should do it to the best of our ability and for the glory of God. This book is for everyone: young, old, stay at home moms, work outside of the home moms, single women, married women without children, grandmas, retirees or those who wished they were. What’s the hold up? You need this book! I received a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I received a complimentary copy of “Holy Hustle” as a launch team giveaway. This review is solely my own. “When we have confidence in the call God has placed on our lives, it changes not only the way we take up physical space, but how we claim space in other ways for God’s kingdom.” #HolyHustleBook by Crystal Stine
“Holy Hustle” has been an answer to a prayer that I didn’t even know I was praying. Crystal’s message in this book is finding the balance between work and rest—a holy hustle. Working well and hard in what God has called you to, but resting in His goodness and His equipping you for the task. She tears down the status quo of what we’re “supposed” to do and replaces it with doing what God has called to do—and that every ounce of that work matters.
I love how she talks about outdoing one another in the area of honor. Instead of competing and striving to be the next best, we honor and cherish the people around us. We are people focused, not numbers focused. This doesn't mean we work any less, or let them have our best ideas, but it means we cheer them on, bring them up and send them out.
I honestly struggled writing this review. Not because this book wasn’t good, but because it was GREAT. I so want to convey that this book is EVERYTHING you need to hear in whatever season you’re in. Whether you’re working and you wonder if your work matters or you’re striving and you’re exhausted but don’t know what to do, or you just need good reading material. “Holy Hustle” has opened my eyes to things I’ve hidden in shame that I’ve honestly thought I dealt with. But it was so full of grace and mercy when it was brought to my attention, I realized that it’s not a point of shame, but redemption.
Crystal covers a variety of topics within hustling, including competition. It's a refreshing breath of air to finally feel like I don't have to compete for my spot in the Kingdom, but encourage others with me toward the same goal of advancing the gospel.
I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this book. I even read some to my husband and he enjoyed it and was challenged to make a change. It released me to do the work I was called to do.
Maybe you’re a mom boss, or a boss babe, or a CEO, or something that would be considered in between. I encourage anyone who WORKS in any way shape or form to read this book.

Just what I needed! My every day Holy Hustle was lagging. I did things sometimes on the fly, then I'd fall flat on my face with discontent and disappointment because I felt that I didn't do enough. I'd then cover it up and pretended that it would be different tomorrow, and with no preparation, I'd fail. Holy Hustle is about taking those failures and turning them into lessons that help you change your thinking in a way that makes you realize that, with Jesus, you have the power to change course. Holy Hustle helps you understand that your failures don't define you and that you can move forward and be a winner with your father in heaven. This phenomenal book is what is needed to help give you the push you need to fulfill your God given plan. Super powerful! I received a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

In Holy Hustle, the author gives great insight highlighting how we can glorify God in all our actions and words. In each moment of each day, we are given opportunity to share the love of God in our professions, our home life, our everyday living. No matter what our life may include, there are ways to work hard and rest well, with His help. This book is inspirational and encouraging. I received a copy of the book and this is my honest personal opinion. No review was required.
