Overview

In this inspiring novel, world-renowned “Painter of Light”™ Thomas Kinkade brings us back to Cape Light—the little town we know by heart…

The charming seacoast village of Cape Light is the kind of place where neighbor helps neighbor and people have the time to appreciate God’s blessings every day. Their lives are not without disappointment—even heartbreak. But there’s something special about this town—and the people in it.

Cape Light’s mayor, Emily Warwick, can’t remember the last time she let herself dream. Her days are consumed by the responsibilities of her job and the incessant demands of her elderly mother. And there’s her younger sister Jessica, who is about to walk down the aisle with a man their mother despises. Emily has two months to bring their mother around, but so far—even with their minister’s support—her plan isn’t working. And it doesn’t help that she’s still mourning the husband she lost and wondering what happened to the baby she gave up for adoption twenty years ago. Sometimes she thinks it would take a miracle to fill the hole in her heart.

But miracles do happen here in Cape Light. You just have to close your eyes—and believe in your dreams...

My Mother is reading the eighth book in the series, and wants me to order another before she has finished reading Home Song. I can't remember her ever being so excited about any other authors work.At 88 years of age she still reads 2 or 3 books a week.

I've read all three Cape Light books now. There's got to be more. These are without a doubt, the best books I have every read. Better than Danielle, better than Nora. Good clean stories with interesting characters. There's got to be more. I want to move my family to Cape Light!!! Please Thomas - there's more to write!!!

I absolutely adore the 'Cape Light' series. This book was terrific. I wondered how long it would take Sara to reveal to Emily that she was her daughter, but I liked how it happened - and how she was able to read Emily's journal and finally forgive her for all that had happened. Overall, I loved this book!

What a lyrical and wonderful follow-up to Cape Light. The characters continually draw the reader into their warm community as they search for home and their own song. Fortunately for us, they find that home lies in the heart, and the heart is made to sing.
