While I’m not the biggest fan of basketball I did very much enjoy this funny and heartwarming novel. Adam was a very likeable character, he was sweet and kind but also flawed. He had anger issues, some childhood trauma, and trouble speaking. The supporting characters had a lot of personality and I loved most of them but Barry takes the cake. I loved Adam and Barry’s friendship and how they supported and looked out for each other. I also loved the author’s writing style, it was written how Adam talks since it’s his POV. There was some repetitive swearing (the s-word) and a scene that didn’t really need to be in the book, those are my only complaints. Overall I really enjoyed this book, if you want a feel-good and fast paced contemporary sports I would definitely recommend you read it! Rating: 4.5 Stars! Recommendation: Sports and contemporary novel lovers ages 14 and up FTC DISCLAIMER: I received this book in exchange for an honest review
