Overview

Did you know that when we pray, we are presenting a petition on our behalf or the behalf of another?

It is a plea, not a demand. In our sincerity, the Father looks at our hearts. But what is it that we are trying to do?

Are we asking for something or trying to see if the Father is listening to us?

The book of Proverbs 28:9 says, "He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination." For all who say the law is dead, do you think your prayer is being heard?
In 1st Kings 8:27-29, David wanted to build the Father a temple; but the Father told him no, someone from his loins would build it. Solomon builds the temple, and he dedicates it. It reads, " But will ELOHIM indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded? 28 Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O YAHUAH my ELOHIM, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day: 29 That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place."

When we pray, we always pray toward Jerusalem. The reason is that the Father placed his name there; this is where the temple was built, and the Father's eye would be on it night and day.

Read 1st Kings 8:38, which says, " What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house."
This is an instruction on how to pray correctly.

There is a right and wrong way to do anything; although we know that we are in a time when we cannot pray properly, YAHUAH will hear us. However, there is a proper way of doing it.
1st Kings 8:38 explains how we should do it. Not only are we to face toward Jerusalem, but we are also to stretch out our arms.
Look at what Solomon did in 1st Kings 8 22-23, "And Solomon stood before the altar of the YAHUAH in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven: 23 And he said, YAHUAH ELOHIM of Israel, there is no ELOHIM like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:"
After the temple was built, Solomon prayed to the Father in the presence of the Elders of Israel. He is explaining in this pray and instructions; that we are to pray towards the temple; forever.
1st Kings 9:3; reads, "And YAHUAH said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there forever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually."

About the Author

Unknown Hebrew is a Forth Tribe tried and true Hebrew Israelite. Like many of us, I started in the halls of Christian doctrine; however, my desire to learn more about the script increased, and I was led back to where it all began — the Hebrew Israelite Nation.
Since then, I have not looked back; every day, I study, write, and read the word; while asking for understanding.
Some wonder why I go by the pin name; Unknown Hebrew; for me, it is a way to keep the spotlight off me and on YAHUAH, our ELOHIM.

Here is what YAHUAH wants us to achieve while on Earth.

Read the scriptures to understand the ways of our ELOHIM.

Study to show yourself approved.

Take on the ways of the Order of Melchizedek.

Spread the gospel to Israelites worldwide.

Wait for our King and High Priest YAHUSHUA to return.
