This girl is an inspiration to readers of any age. She risked being killed for going to school, but kept on attending her local school in Pakistan until it had to be closed. A secret school was organized by her teacher and Malala attended that until ... She wakes up in a hospital in Birmingham, England. Malala continues to advocate for education for all children, especially girls. She remembers seeing a woman being beaten for disobedience.  Despite the terrible events, this is a book to be enjoyed  because it is a courageous and joyful one, like its heroine.  Events that unfold quickly, page after page, holding the reader's attention. The setting is integrated into the story, so that there are no long descriptions to discourage the middle-grade reader.  There are two sections of photographs in color and at the end, a Timeline of Important Events in the history of Pakistan. Anyone could enjoy and learn from this book, but especially readers in sixth grade and higher.

I recommended this book for my 5th grader because she needed to choose a non-fiction book for school.  She loved it.  She read it so fast.  She is just amazed  at what Malala went thru and how Malala is so courageous in continuing to fight for her cause.

I Am Malala is an interesting and worthwhile book. The chapters are separated into parts, or sections. I think I Am Malala is interesting because the book talks about Malala’s life sense she was a baby. Some things her father told her is that when she was two she would always sit in the pre-k classes. I Am Malala is also interesting because on October 24, 2012 she was in the hospital she wanted to go back to school amenity. I think I Am Malala is also interesting because in Pakistan they have a different culture. I think the book is worthwhile because at the beginning of part two it pulls you into the book, but Malala’s story doesn’t end there. I recommend I Am Malala because Malala beautifully wrote the book. Malala also inclues a lot of details. The book I Am Malala is a wonderful book

I have not read this book ( yet) , but I already heard about Malala and I know she is great! As a femenist, Malala is inspiration to me and many others just like many other great woman! BTW alot of people think being a femenist is hating men or hating super models. NOT AT ALL! IT means that you think women should be treated fairly and have the same rights as men. By thank you for reading ,hope you agree

this book is great. its about a girl who lived in Pakistan and didnt have many rights as a women. she fought for womens rights, but the leaders who make these rules did nlt like her at all. this is because she was going against the rules they are making. malala and her friends would have to go to school behind their backs without their uniform, even though they werent supposed to be going to school at all. soon, she got shot near her ear by one of these people, and goes through this big journey of trying to stay strong. this book is based on a true story and i think it could inspire many girls.
