First of all, this book gets points for saying "Vetrinarian" and not "animal doctor." This is a very complete account of what different kinds of veterinarians do. It introduces the reader to many aspects of veteriinary science, and might help children interested in being vets decide if it is right for them, figure out what kind of vet they'd like to be, and begin preparing.
I bought this book to accompany a Playmobil veterinarian toy set I bought for my 7 year old granddaughter. The photos of vets with different kinds of animals (pets, zoo, farm and wild) were wonderful and it was fairly easy reading. I liked it and my granddaughter liked it!
