Imaginationally: Michael's Lovable Fun of Dictionaries
Praise for Fears of Your Life:

“Written in a lively, lucid, meticulous hand…reminiscent of early Matt Groening, not only in spirit and subject matter, but in style.”—The San Francisco Bay Guardian

Have you ever felt terrifical? Are you in the habit of uncluding things you don’t like? Maybe you live in troublemakerhood. Author Michael Bernard Loggins, an adult with developmental disabilities, gives new meaning to familiar feelings in Imaginationally, an illustrated dictionary of words he created to describe his daily experiences and thoughts.

From associalize (enoying the company of other people) to zincky (when food is spoiled and nasty to eat), customized words are handwritten in alphabetical order with Loggins’s own definitions, examples of how you would use them in a sentence, and hand-drawn illustrations. It’s a totally original lexicon of funable and laughterful terms that you just might find yourself using soon.

Michael Bernard Loggins is the author of Fears of Your Life, a handwritten, illustrated book in which Loggins chronicles more than 180 of his fears both great and small. Fears of Your Life was read on National Public Radio’s “This American Life,” excerpted in Harper’s Magazine, and adapted for the stage and performed at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Loggins has worked with Creativity Explored, an art studio for adults with developmental disabilities, since 1984. He lives in San Francisco.
