After the brutal murder of his seraph, Iain Donnelly's salvation is eternally lost. Damned to become a dark knight of Azazel, he can no longer embrace his immortal purpose as a Templar Knight. When the archangels send him on Sabbatical to find his faith once more, his quest leads him straight into the forbidden arms of a Benedictine Sister, whom Azazel is threatening. But this woman arouses far more than his protective instincts. He wants her as he's wanted no other woman, and he's willing to provoke the archangels' fury to keep her safe.
Catherine Grady has devoted herself to the fellowship of faith and forged a path of eternal dedication to a higher calling. But when a traffic accident forces her to accept Iain's aid, she discovers that her chosen path is not what her heart craves. Iain awakens a buried yearning to be needed and loved in a way her broken childhood denied her. As she struggles to reconcile her desires, she stumbles into the truth about her heritage, ancient secrets, and unholy danger. Iain's immortality is all that can protect her.
For Iain, it's an impossible choice. The archangels have decreed if he walks away from the Templar, they will reclaim his soul. Yet returning to the Order only guarantees his inevitable death…

I’m in pain this was so good. Claire Ashgrove knows how to create delicious men. If she were a sculptor, they’d all be Davids. And may I say…she knows how to write one heck of a love scene, too. Am I blushing? Perhaps. Am I jealous of all of the women in her books – certainly! But beyond all of that, her stories are so compelling, imaginative, white-knuckle and passion-filled, that the world could erupt around me and I’d just have to put it on hold until I finished the book. This story follows Iain Donnelly, immortal Templar Knight, who is on leave-of-absence in KC, Mo, when he runs into, almost literally, Catherine Grady, novice nun. Through unexpected turns and a lurking threat, they each begin to see something in the other that causes their lives to spin toward a future neither of them would ever have imagined. As usual, very well done. I purchased this book online and have given this review freely and without monetary compensation.
I love this series. This novella was truly awesome. I don't wish to give anything away but it was great that this character that was so tormented by events in the prior book found his peace. Great read and I HIGHLY recommend it and the Templar series.
Outstanding! Claire Ashgrove has delivered another powerful book in her Curse Of The Templar's Series. I highly recommend this series...it is phenomenal!
