It is the number that should invoke fear in all of us. Does it frighten you? Somewhere lurking within these 33 tales of flash-fiction true terror exists for those brave enough to read on.
Travel along with; a generations spanning cannibal clan eating their way through America to serial killers crossing paths on deserted train tracks to those unfortunate souls who have come face-to-face with the Devil. If that’s not enough, you’ll encounter vampires, giant insects, carpet-dwelling aliens, beautification procedures gone awry, soul-selling death metal rock stars, the darkest corners of science, and the extremes of parental punishment.
In 666 Words presents each pulse-pounding offering in a “hit them fast and leave them terrified” jolt of precisely 666 words. It’s an ode to the classic genre stories that used to inhabit the comic books and magazines of the 1950’s and 60’s.
Unless you already suffer from hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia, prepare for scares!

These tales were all flash fiction. And, no short story has more than 666 words. There were a few really good stories in a sea of less than stellar works. It is worth 99¿, but not more than that. The last story, about an abusive husband getting his just desserts in hell, was the best of that type in this book. There were also tales about serial killers, domestic abuse, cannibals, and people who were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Generally, it was a good book but not a great one. I am going to check out some additional longer works by this author. I think that I have had enough flash fiction for a while. -AvidReader
In 666 Words was a fantastic selection of horror stories. It wasn't about the gore so much as the fright. Of my favorites, I would have to say the one representing the cover with 'I will not' was a little spooky. Also the one about Sunday and dentists. Ouch! Not every story is going to have the same flavor as others. Rest assured, you're going to get some disturbing endings, but you don't always know how or why. Stories often start quite subtle, and then turn dark toward the very end. A fun and fast paced read!
A fast paced fun read. Each of the stories is precisely 666 words and many end with a real Tales from the Crypt vibe. I enjoyed this one a lot!
Pretty good but not the best from this author
