Overview

A fantasy novel about a human boy named Endore who is raised by elves. Endore's mother mysteriously appeared in the Sywood Forest near death and heavy with child. She died giving birth to Endore, but before she died she gave her baby a necklace with a unique stone encased in a metal cage. Years later when the elves discover that Endore is half Dardonian, he is forced to leave his home in the Sywood Forest. Dardonians are the human descendants of the giants of old and a barbaric people. They are feared and hated enemies of the elves because they enjoy killing. Endore's elf brother Sirrus, and his best friend Rayzon remain loyal to Endore, and insist on traveling with him even though the elf sage Greenhan warns them that, "Endore will betray the elves." Endore and his elf companions set out to find his mother's people and discover the secret behind the stone in the necklace that had belonged to his mother. A secret she fled her home and died to protect.
