I've recently been faced with some major life changes and with that comes a whole new level of learning how to balance every area of my new "normal" way of living. I saw the title of this book posted on Facebook one day and immediately knew I needed to read it. Just in the first few chapters I found that this book offers not only words of encouragement for where I'm at, but practical ways in which I can attain balance while walking through this difficult season by way of Susie's personal experiences. However, his book isn't just page after page telling you what to do and someone else's examples from their struggles to find balance, rather it's SO MUCH MORE! At the end of every chapter the reader is provided with the following take away points to help facilitate the desired balance in their own life: Steps Towards Health, Try This, Balance Application, Study Time, Personal Reflection, This Week's Goal and God's Promises to Me! Each of these takeaway points prompt and challenge the reader to take inventory of where they are at, where they want to be and encourages you to really take seriously the things that can be done to get from point A to point B! I really appreciate reading books like this that actually challenge me to sit there and answer questions when I've read a chapter or two. Susie Larson does an excellent job of giving each reader an opportunity to really look deep inside at what it's going to take for real, authentic change to help create that balance. I also want to add that as I've been reading, my mind immediately went to how wonderful this would be as a Life Group Bible study for other moms, like me, who are seeking balance in a healthy, attainable and God directed way.
