Let me start out by saying I love this book series along with Dark Hunters. I own every book and have been with both since the beginning. Now i feel like out of every book from the series I've read this one is the most controversial for readers. Im not gonna give any spoilers only say that the vast majority of this book in my opinion is mostly giving us back story information. Nothing truly stands out to me as very relevant to the story line till almost the very end of the book. Which is why in my opinion this book is so conflicting to readers. Honestly it seemed more of what i would consider a story line filler not completely relevant or irrelevant to the series itself. Which i do appreciate the content just personal opinion this book didn't stand up to the previous ones in the series. Like i said though i have been with both dark hunters and nick chronicles since the beginning and even though i understand nick chronicles is a spin off of dark hunters i feel like the writer has been slacking in the nick chronicles department and focusing more on dark hunters because we have 2-3 dark hunter books for every nick chronicles book which yes is a shorter series but with that in mind plus this book which is mostly a short fluff story filler i feel like maybe the writer is a bit overwhelmed with so many successful ongoing book series and should really focus on one book for each series at a time and again i know this review can seem harsh im just giving my honest opinion i still love the series and will be on edge for the next book to arrive i just wanted to give my honest opinion and review hope you guys enjoy your reads peace out

Loved the story, but I'm ready for the rest of it ...would love a book that's longer than 134 pages...leaves me hanging and craving more...looking forward to the rest of the story

This was utter trash...the first 7 books were great. The author barely touched on the plot set up in the last book. You get 176 pages of trying to tie things together and crap for a story. It seems like S.K. got tired of nick and wants to move onto his sons story. It was a waste of time, money and brain cells.

After reading all books in the series. I have to say this was too short and rushed. This is not the way it should have ended.

This has to be the best of the series, not only does Nick have to fight against his son, but makes a sacrifice that would break most people. Truly emotionally deep and a tale that grabs at your atenttion

I loved the ending, and the idea of the future they set in motion. I'd love a continuation of the series however, picking up with the beginning of Ambrose's time. Maybe sometime in the future.

I had to make myself finish reading this book! All the time jumping & various characters made it a very confusing reada!

It was good and a bit intense, if a bit over-done in the sentimental dept. Then there were parts that certainly left me scratching my head. There were many things that didn't add up and the ending, well... I hate cliff hangers.

Better than I thought. A really big twist I didn't see coming.
