Lies

Mig's wife is a bitch.

How else do you describe a woman that lies, cheats and steals to get what she wants?

That's exactly what happens when she traps him into a marriage he wants nothing to do with, saddling him with a kid that he knows doesn't deserve to be in a world like his.

He's doing a pretty bang-up job at ignoring everything but his responsibilities as a DEA officer and a member of The Uncertain Saints MC.

Then his neighbor knocks on his door, and everything he thought he knew is blown out the window.

Deceit

Annie teaches Mig that not every woman is out to get him.

Her love for Mig stretches past what's appropriate for two friends, and Annie soon straddles that invisible boundary between appropriate and inappropriate.

Annie's not a cheater, though.

When she tries to say goodbye, Mig won't let her leave, and soon the tiny town of Uncertain blows up with the news of Annie and Mig's innocent friendship.

Betrayal

Matters of the heart are foreign to Mig, and it takes Annie being gutted for him to see the wrong he's done.

He waits too long, though, and Annie's heart is broken.

She wants it all, or she wants nothing. She can't take anymore half-hearted attempts at being just friends.

The heart wants what it wants, and it doesn't take long for Mig to realize that.

But just when Mig finally has it all in the palm of his hand, his life is ripped to shreds by a new player in the game, and it takes all of Annie's love and devotion, as well as help from the men of The Uncertain Saint's MC, to put Mig back together again.

Lani Lynn Vale once again delivers a fabulous story. Great characters, well paced storyline.

Lani Lynn Vale's books always meet my expectations and more. Jack & Coke is a great follow up to Whiskey Neat and now I can't wait to see what happens to the rest of the Uncertain Saints, men who've survived to find love with women strong enough to handle them. If the rest of the series is as good as this book and Whiskey Neat, I can't wait. Thanks, Lani.

I've enjoyed all of Lani's books, and this was no exception. I'm a sucker for a bad boy, and a HEA, and this book had both. But there were times that I wanted to smack Mig and ask what the heck he was thinking. And I just wanted to ship Jennifer off to the ends of the Earth! But, to me, the sign of a good book is one that brings out real emotions, and mine were all over the place with this book!

Another great book from LLV. The book had mystery and off-the-charts chemistry between the H/h. I was slightly annoyed with certain actions of both the H and h. However, I do like variety in the books that I read; they can't all be lovey-dovey all throughout the book. That said, the writing was superb; once again pulling me into the story. Definitely a must read!

4.5 stars for sure. LOVE all her books!! This is about 190+ pages, full of steamy loving, action, funny, heartbreaking and all around good second book to this series. You do get to know the guys of this mc and the couple from the first book. The surrounding characters help make this a great story and can not wait for theirs. One thing was a little disappointed with the ending. It seemed a little bit too short of an ending, but still loved the story. Thank you, Ms. Vale! Please keep these books coming for I am a big fan!! Highly recommend ANY of her books!!****

Let me start with saying I have not read a Lani Lynn Vale book that I have not loved. I am also a huge MC fan. Lani Lynn Vale is one of the best at writing MC books. The Uncertain Saint’s are not your typical MC group. They ride big, bad, and loud bikes. They are rough and tough with huge hearts. They are honest and true to those who they consider family. To wrap it all up, they are just amazing men. This is the story of Mig. Hard to believe that Mig can be taken advantage of yet Jennifer manages to do just that. She gets herself pregnant by him and becomes a #1 horrible person. The horrific way she treats not only him but everyone else she comes into contact with cements her as the worse person in the world and I was scared at what kind of wife and mother she would be. When Mig wakes up, and it takes him too long to do that, I want to jump up and down, applaud, and pat Mig on the back. The next big step is stepping up for Annie. Mig and Annie are wonderful together. They respect each other, they don’t always trust each other but know that the other has their best interests at heart. Their romance is not pretty. It is not easy. It is true. It is real. I love these two. They deserve each other and need to be together. I was very happy that they had to work to make their relationship work. The hard work made it seem so much more realistic. Lani Lynn Vale did it again. This is the second book in the Uncertain Saints series. Each book can be read on its own but if you read the first book, Whiskey Neat, you will meet the characters and learn some history on the secondary characters.

Love this book. Have read it more than once and will keep it on hand for another reading.

I've read numerous MC books and "hot" romance novels and this wasn't either. It was 200 pages, but every line was double-spaced, so basically 100 pages of text for $4.00....not a bargain at all. Couple that with the "vanilla sex" , after all the build up, and weak plot, and you have one big waste of time and money. First and last one by this author...
