I enjoy Lee Childs’ Jack Reacher novels, but I wondered how a tie-in series would work. Diane Capri’s Jack in the Green is a short novella set around characters and events from the classic series, and introduces two FBI agents tasked with finding/stopping Jack Reacher… except he may be the good guy not the bad guy… and maybe he’s not the one causing murder and mayhem after all. It's a fascinating premise, powered by two well-drawn characters, and an enjoyable read. The story’s short and simple, the characters are convincing, and the plot nicely drawn. It’s not hard to stay at least level with the protagonists in solving the case, and it’s moderately disappointing that it’s all over so soon… but then it makes me want to read the corresponding Lee Child book. Which proves it's a great tie-in I guess. Disclosure: I won an ecopy somehow (can’t remember how) and enjoyed it.

I am a Jack Reacher fan and thought I would give this a try. Not disappointed but not captivated either. Maybe if I had started with the first book it might have been better. I like the shortness of the book but the plot line didn't make the tie back to Jack Reacher like I was expecting.

Her "find Jack" series is confusing, in that it's the same story repeated evey time. I honestly cant remember which one I'm reviewing.

Otto n Gaspar learn nothing new about Reacher except for tidbits of how he did his job. They r no closer to finding Jack.
