Which means...he has to go to the winery.

James is stunned by his attraction to a woman unlike any he's met before, and Kyra discovers a simmering passion hidden behind his polished exterior. Having visited this area in Italy, I really appreciated the author's description of the winery and enjoyed another brother discovering the reasoning behind his father's gift. ...a way for James to realize how much love his father had for his dead mom. I look for Rd to reading Finn's story in the last installment of the Brannigan brothers' saga.

Since age 12 James has worked being the responsible one ,first taking care of his six brothers and their home after the early death of their mother, and layer as an adult running a major hedge fund. Maintaining total control over all aspects of his life has made him successful, but when he arrives in Italy to check out the small family winery his father left him, a small bundle of sunshine and fun opens his eyes to more important things then pursuing the all mighty dollar. I loved this story for the beautiful descriptions of Italy and family and the love story that brought out James's heart. This may be my favorite story of the series.

As a kid my mom made sure she exposed me to a variety of movie musicals to ensure a complete education. Though not my favorite, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers was definitely part of the rotation (I didn’t like Sound of Music either, if it makes you feel any better). I did, however, love the idea of a big family and all those brothers finding their HEA. The general outline has made its way into many romance arcs of the last few years, the latest being the 7 Bride for 7 Brothers collaboration. James, by Roxanne St. Claire is the oldest brother, though the sixth to fall. There is always something about watching a workaholic billionaire remember there is more to life than making money. James’s father’s bequest teaches him just that when he leaves him a winery in Italy. When James goes to visit to figure out why, he finds more than he bargained for. He regains the knowledge that family is everything and love conquers all. I picked up James as the first book in the series. I will definitely going back to catch up. The collaborators have created a strong world with fascinating characters that are going to be fun to revisit. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

James Brannigan is a billionaire who runs a hedge fund now, but when James was only 12 his mother passed away and he helped his father look after his six younger brother because his father threw himself into his business after the loss of his wife to fill the void. When James got older his father showed him the value of working hard to become successful in business and this is all James has ever done - he does not have time for romance, holidays and love. Kyra Summers grew up with a ruthless mother, who also loved to work, work, work so Kyra always felt alone in her life, so when she came of age and had the chance she began to travel the world and amongst her travels she found a little winery in Positano and fell in love with it and the family running it so she decided to stay. When James's dad passed away he left James the winery on the Amalfi Coast of Italy, (he also left his brothers a legacy too and they all have their own stories), with what had recently happened to some of his brothers James decides to take a trip to his winery with the intentions of selling it and making a profit because money is the bottom line or so he thought until he met the bubbly woman called Kyra. Kyra when she meets James tells him she is there to take him out to dinner, James thinks Kyra works for the hotel and does not know why but he says yes, what James did not know due to a lack in communication from his secretary is that the dinner is at the winery because the family are eager to meet the new owner. James did not know why he said yes to dinner with this woman until he realises that he is attracted to Kyra, This is unusual because always goes for the cold polished ones and Kyra is like the fizz in your bottle of champagne - full of energy and sunshine. When James realises the mistake that has been made he still finally agrees to go with Kyra and this is the start of finding the real man inside of the business mans body. This is a great story with the ups and downs, twist and turns of a romance that I have become to look forward to from Roxanne St Claire, she weaves a great plot and the story draws you in. There are misunderstandings in this book and you feel for the characters, as they are well thought out and feel real to you, I just loved all of them. The story is about family values, misunderstandings, trust, love, and realisation that money is not everything. I now can not wait to check out all the other brothers stories in this series (written by different authors) because if they are written half as well as this book then they will definitely be worth it.

I really loved the premise of 7 different authors writing about 7 brothers from one family. While I've only read a few of the stories in the series so far, I've enjoyed each one. I love the idea of Colin Brannigan leaving each son a part of his legacy. I was super excited to see Roxanne St. Claire was taking oldest brother James and have to say I loved his story. James Brannigan has pretty much become a workaholic just like his father. Making more and more money for his hedge fund seems to be all he cares about. Yes he keeps up with his brothers, but they really don't have a true relationship. I'll admit I wasn't sure Ms. St. Claire could redeem James enough for me to like him when I first met him. I will say I absolutely loved all not only did he change for the better, he ended up being an amazing man. Kyra Summers is such a strong character. I loved her from the moment she appeared on the page! Kyra has traveled the world since she left home and usually never stays in one place for long. She has pretty much been adopted by the family that is running the vineyard James inherited and finally feels like she has a home in Positano. There is pretty much instant attraction between James and Kyra as soon as they meet. While neither is looking for a relationship, especially James, it was kind of fun to watch free-spirited Kyra help transform James into the man he becomes. I honestly wondered if he wouldn't have already been more open to a relationship had he not seen how his dad reacted when him mom died. I loved that James and Kyra couldn't keep their hands off each other most of the time and found their romance both sweet and super sexy at the same time. Ms. St. Claire delivers another winner for her readers with James. I loved there was so much growth for James and Kyra both as individuals and together. I also absolutely loved reading about the landscape in Positano. It made me almost feel like I was on vacation in Italy. Rating: 5 Stars (A) Review copy provided by publisher

I really enjoyed James by Roxanne St. Claire which is the sixth book of the 7 Brides for 7 Brothers series. Each book is part of the series but is a standalone story. While reading this book I fell in love with the descriptions of the Amalfi coast of Italy. I have been to wineries in the Napa area of California but none looked like the depiction of the winery that James inherited and where Kyra lived. It was interesting to see if James would enjoy spending time with Kyra, along with relinquishing his staid presence and business always demeanor. Kyra was such a free spirit that I wasn’t sure if she could understand James. Both James and Kyra had to take risks and become flexible before either would find love. This was a sweet, fun and entertaining story with very likeable and authentic characters that you want to cheer on, hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written with complex characteristics. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

In this 7 Brides for 7 Brothers book, James is dealing with the gift his deceased father left him, which is a small winery in Italy. He figures that his father just wanted him to get the most profit he could out of it. That may not be what his father was after at all... James finds a small, scrappy American waiting for him in Italy. Kyra is an American who has transplanted herself in Positano and adopted the family that runs James' winery as her own. It is up to Kyra to persuade James not to sell the winery, which is the home of the only family she's ever really known. Could James end up being the beginning of her own family, or will he destroy everything and sell after all? Another great book by Roxanne St. Claire keeps her at the top of my favorite authors.

James is book six in the 7 Brides for 7 Brothers Series written by one of my favorite authors, Roxanne St. Claire. James is the oldest of the Brannigan brothers. After his mom died, he took on the role of taking care of his six younger brothers while his dad, devastated by his wife's death, threw himself into his job spending very little time with his growing boys. After he died, he left a legacy in some form to each of his sons. It was up to them to find the reasons behind his gifts. James inherited a small, family-owned winery in Positano, Italy that neither he nor any of his brothers knew their dad owned. As a hedge fund manager, James looked at it as a way to make money by selling it. Already having lined up a buyer, he decided to spend a day or two in Italy to see it for himself. As he came to realize his father's intention, what he learned would forever change his life. Kyra Summers is a free-spirited young woman who never stayed in one place until she arrived in Positano. She fell in love with the village and quickly realized this is where she wanted to be. She was welcomed into the close-knit Sebastiani family and being an American, she was the best person to take on the tour guide position for the mostly American visitors. It had been nearly twenty-five years since James' father visited the winery and when the family heard the new owner was coming, they felt Kyra would be the best choice to “cozy up” to him and find out what his intentions were. Things did not go as planned. He was cold and arrogant but yet, oh so attractive. But, she knew from her research she was not 'his type'. So cozy up she did and what she found out could be devastating for the family she loves. I have yet to read the previous books to this one, all written by different authors, but if they're anything like this one, the reader won't be able to put them down. I plan to find out soon. Roxanne's descriptive writing makes the reader feel they are right there in Italy experiencing the same things as the characters. James was chock full of twists and turns and 'I did not see that coming' moments. It also brought its share of tears. Each book is a stand-alone and I would highly recommend James for sure. Whether the reader starts with him or not, you won't be disappointed.

Great entry for 7 brides for 7 brothers. Here we have James, a workaholic. His father, Colin, has left him a vineyard in Italy. Kyra has finally found what she thinks is a home at a family run vineyard in Italy. A wonderful story of emotional awakening!

I received an ARC for an honest review. I loved James, by Roxanne St. Claire. Roxanne delivered another wonderful book. I loved the characters in this book and the setting was amazing I have never been to Italy, but felt that I was there with Kyra and James walking through Positano. The story begins with seven bachelor brothers whose father has just passed away leaving each one a unique "legacy" that they must fulfill before the remainder of his estate will be divided. James is the oldest of the seven sons and runs his own hedge fund business in New York. A vineyard in Positano, Italy is the legacy gift that his father has left for James. James has no idea why his father left him this vineyard that he never knew he owned, so he heads to Positano in search on the answers. His intention is to sell the vineyard for the best price and to head home as quickly as possible. That is until he meets Kyra Summers, whose role is to "get cozy" with James, even though Kyra believes that she is not James's type. Kyra is everything that James is not, she is carefree, fun and a burst of sunshine. James discovers that his father bought the vineyard for his mother as a birthday gift after vacationing with her in Positano. His mother was killed in a car accident before her birthday and James's father never returned to the vineyard after her death. James being the oldest took over the role of head of the house in her absence. He started to believe that women don't stay and this followed him into his adult life. Kyra was raised by a single mother, who was a workaholic. She was a closer and they never stayed anywhere for very long. James's work ethic reminds her so much of her mother. Kyra found a home in Positano, after travelling the world. Never settling any place for very long. After being welcomed by the Sebastianis, Positano became the place that Kyra decided to call home. She lives with Annamarie, the matriarch of the Sebastianis, the family who runs the vineyard. Kyra became part of this large Italian family whose motto is "family is everything". James and Kyra spend lots of time together, Kyra offers to be his tour guide to show him the area and ride him around the narrow Italian streets on her Vespa. James starts to have "fun", begins to let lose and not let his work control his life. James discovers so much about his parents that he did not know. He comes to realize why his father left him the vineyard and decides not to sell it. Romance blooms between James and Kyra. James has planned a romantic day for Kyra. Then the unthinkable happens. Roxanne is great with her plot twists and I definitely did not see this one coming, what a surprise. Everything works out in the end, including plans for a wedding in Positano in October after the harvest.

This was a wonderful breath of freshness. James is the oldest of 7 boys and his mom passed away when he was 12 and his father basically turned to his work in grief. This left James to raise his brothers and report back to his father. Now his father has died and left "legacies" to each son and James was left a small boutique winery in Italy. What does James know about wine? Nothing since he is runs a hedge fund and his life is basically about making money. He heads to Italy to overlook this winery and ultimately sell it. In walks Kyra and all her blonde, bubbly goodness and the rest of the Sebastiani family who are afraid of what his showing up means. Kyra has traveled the world and found home when she visited this winery on the Almafi coast and has put down roots. James learns to relax and have fun while searching for the reason he was left this winery. I absolutely loved this book and even though I have not read the other books in this series there was no problem and this is definitely a standalone. **Received a copy of this ARC for review**

Loved this book!! James is the oldest brother, of seven brothers where he he has inherited a winery from his father on the Amalfi Coast. James goes to the winery for one thing, that is to sell it not to meet and fall in love with carefree, Kyra. Kyra has never put down roots, until she came upon the winery and now she calls it home. She will do anything to win over James, so he doesn't sell the winery. Neither expecting to open their hearts out to each other but as they spend time traveling the beautiful coast, they both find love when least expect. This was a book that I could not put down. I felt like I was on vacation in Italy, with vivid descriptive writing , must say you should have a nice glass of wine while reading. I have not read the other stories in this series, but will be adding them to my TBR list.

I just loved this book! It was a fun, quick read and the characters are awesome! James Brannigan is the oldest of seven brothers. When James' mom died when he was 12, he helped his father raise the other six boys. In reality, his father withdrew into his work and James was left to take care of his brothers. Now as an adult, James puts all of his time and energy into his work. When James' father passed away from cancer, without telling any of the sons that he even had it, he left each son a part of his legacy. Through each gift, each son finds something he didn't even realize they were looking for. James was left a tiny winery in Positano, Italy and he had no clue why. He didn't really drink or take time to enjoy himself because he was always working. James decides he is going to check the place out and then probably sell it. He already has a standing offer from an American company looking to expand. James arrives in Italy and is thrown for a loop starting with his ride to his hotel. Seems everyone knows everyone's business here! Then in walks Kyra Summers....a free spirit, little blonde thing, ray of sunshine that catches his attention. I just loved their first meeting! Too funny! When he realizes who Kyra actually is things get even better. When James meets the Sebastiani family that's when the real fun really begins! This huge group of people were so fun, especially Anamaria! As James is trying to figure out why his father left him this winery, his feelings for Kyra begin to grow. He is for once relaxing and taking time out for himself and not thinking about work. As James is starting to find the answers to all his questions, he starts to understand why his dad sent him to the winery. I just adored these two characters. James was a typical first born, always wanting to do the right thing. Kyra was such a breath of fresh air and she was almost always happy! Together they each found something that neither of them realized they were ever looking for.

When James' father died, he left him a winery in Italy. James does not have time for such things, but he needed to see why his father left him a winery. James is very busy and doesn't have time for fun or a winery in Italy. He was to dispose of it and go about his business. Then he meets Kyra. She is all sunshine and fun. He finds himself blowing off work more and more. He really needs to make a decision on whether to sell the winery or not. The more he is around Kyra and her "family" the more unsure he is about selling. He has been so busy with his brothers and then his work that he has never relaxed. Kyra makes him want to relax, but can he do that forever and with Kyra?

Loved this one! One of my favorites in this collaborative series. After the death of their father, the seven Brannigan brothers are each left a legacy by their father. James was left a vineyard in Italy. He's a hedge fund manager not a vintner so why would his father leave him a winery?? With a plan to sell the place as quick as possible James finds himself in the Italian countryside on his way to see this winery for himself and get the info needed to assess the value and sell it. Kyra Summers has lived all over the world. Never staying in one place long until this wonderful little winery on the Amalfi coast of Italy. She's come to love not only the place but the family who runs the place and has enveloped her as one of their own. Now they are counting on her to convince the American not to sell the winery to some large company. Easier said than done. James Brannigan is all business all the time. Can Kyra convince him to slow down and smell the lemons?? You definitely want to read this one and find out. I highly recommend it.

The 7 Brides for 7 Brothers series has masterpiece written all over it. Not only does it spotlight a collage of great voices with it's variety of authors ranging from Ruth Cardello, Roxanne St. Claire, Melody Anne and Barbara Freethy. It encapsulates wise life lessons told in a fresh way and with a great deal of heart. With James the takeaway lesson is not to let life pass by, enjoy every precious moment. It takes a meddling father, an unwanted winery and a die hard free spirit to show this hard nose businessman the error of his ways. Ms. St. Claire adds her voice to an already stellar love story, the love of a father for his sons. Though not your average family, the enigmatic Brannigans are a captivating bunch.
