There is nothing that I can say that will change what has already been said, but this is the best devotional that I have read since Jesus Calling. I love it. I'd also recommend that people buy a copy of "When God Stopped Keeping Score" by Author R.A. Clark. "When God Stopped Keeping Score" takes a powerful look at the power of God and forgiveness. I dare you not to be moved by the stories, like the Father, the Son and the Bible or the three women and the ham, or even the two men and the window, that set the tone for the lesson to be learned. That book is a must read.
I have been a fan of Sarah Young's inspiring devotional's since my best friend's mother gave me a copy of Jesus Today as a gift when she saw me going through a rough time. I have fallen for each book, but I thought none could surpass my all time favorite Jesus Today. I just might have been wrong. Finding joy in the midst of trouble has been a major problem for me this past year, and the day this book came to me in the mail I was nearly pulling my hair out over some minor problem. So when the theme of joy, peace, and love came flowing out of this book just within the small page of the first day I was nearing tears and each day it has been close to the same reaction. I didn't know I could cry this much! Still, the book is a great encouragement and one I think Sarah Young has done some of her best work on. A 365 day devotional I am for sure going to be reading every day. If you are having a rough time finding joy in the every day struggles of life, or you know someone who is, then get them this book. That's all I have for today folks, until next time. I hope you have a blessed day! I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review, which I have given.
Although I enjoy the daily devotional readings, The layout of the Bible Verses each day is annoying. More often than not, the first letter of the chapter of the Bible is separated from the rest of the word. Example: M atthew The formatting was obviously not edited properly.
I really never thought Jesus Calling could be topped, but with Sarah Young's new book, Jesus Always, she has definitely done just that. The book is so pretty with it's lovely purple color and the inside is just as gorgeous. I absolutely love the high quality paper that is used and the ribbon bookmark. It feels like there is so much thought put into this book but the best part is the content itself. As with Jesus Calling, this book, Jesus Always, is written from the perspective of Jesus talking to you. I love how the love of Jesus is conveyed through each and every word. After the devotion, there are several Scriptures that relate to the devotion itself. The author encourages you to read each of these Scriptures for yourself because being in the Word of God is what is most important. Each and every devotion just makes you feel so peaceful and loved. It also gives you such a feeling of closeness with the Lord. Each time I read a devotion, it felt like it was written specifically for me. I love this devotion! I'm definitely making it a part of my quiet time. I believe you would love this devotion and that it would become your new favorite. I highly recommend it and give it 5 out of 5 stars. *This book was provided to me for my honest review by BookLook Blogger Program
Jesus Always is the 365 day devotional by author Sarah Young. Jesus Always is the first 365 day devotional she has written since Jesus Calling, which was a best seller and is still highly popular today. Everyday is filled with struggles, heartache, hardships, loss, and so much pain. Jesus Always was written to bring to us God's message of joy, hope, love every day. Hardcover, small enough (like Jesus Calling) to fit in your pocket book. This is definitely going to be a great gift for everyone. I have loved reading Sarah's new devotionals and the scriptures she has picked to go with each day. This is definitely going to be another best seller for Sarah Young. I promise this is a devotional you will want to add to your bookshelf and will use for years. I received a copy of Jesus Always from the publisher for my honest, unbiased review.
