Kaya's Farm: The Koi

An ancient koi lives in our pond. Every spring, with bated breaths, Kaya, Niam and Avaani wait for the koi to surface. The anticipation is palpable as each spring the children are uncertain if the koi has survived another Canadian winter. While waiting for the spring thaw and sighting of the koi, the children learn about the history of the koi and experience the sights and sounds of a beautiful Canadian spring.
