Kingfisher and Kingfisher County showcases images from a special time, 1889 to just before World War II, and special places, small towns on the edge of the Great Plains. Sometimes called the Buckle of the Wheat Belt, the city of Kingfisher is the county seat and lies about 45 minutes northwest of Oklahoma City near the center of the state.
