La Grange

Incorporated on April 10, 1869, La Grange is seated in the coastal plain region of eastern North Carolina; it is equal in distance to the North Carolina coast and the capital city, Raleigh. Prior to 1869, La Grange was known as Moseley Hall, properly named by one of its founders, Matthew Moseley. They settled here because of the rich soil.
