About the Author

USA Today Bestseller Deb Marlowe adores History, England and Men in Boots. Clearly she was destined to write Regency Historical Romance.

A Golden Heart Award winner and Rita nominee, Deb grew up in Pennsylvania with her nose in a book. Luckily, she'd read enough romances to recognize the true modern hero she met at a college Halloween party--even though he wore a tuxedo t-shirt instead of breeches and boots. They married, settled in North Carolina and produced two handsome, intelligent and genuinely amusing boys. Though she spends much of her time with her nose in her laptop, for the sake of her family she does occasionally abandon her inner world for the domestic adventure of laundry, dinner and carpool. Despite her sacrifice, not one of the men in her family is yet willing to don breeches or tall boots. She's working on it.

Deb is a Director of the Raleigh/Durham satellite of Lady Jane's Salon.

I loved this novella that was part of the Bedeviled Haunting of Castle Keyvnor, Book 2) and knowing the Castle Keyvnor books, there is some possible ghosts and unexplained happenings!! Lady Tamsyn and Gryffyn Cardew take stage as once having a high regard for each other in the past. They meet again many years later at the Castle when Lady Tamsyn's father is set to inherit the estate and a host of people are invited to hear the reading of the will. Gryffyn has come to the conclusion that women are avoiding him but as he sees Tamsyn again the spark comes back to life. Full of the magic of the Cornish coast, there is Tuft the pixie and Jump, his animal friend and wonderful cast of characters. What a delightful romance that is sure to bring a smile to your face and heart as you turn the last page!! Lori Dykes

This is one of the fun, spooky novellas in the haunted Castle Keyvnor series. Lady Tamsyn and Gryffyn Cardew had a budding romance once upon a time, but a series of misunderstandings left them both disappointed in the other. Now several years later, with Lady Tamsyn's father set to inherit the estate and a host of people invited to Castle Keyvnor for the reading of the will, she can't avoid seeing Gryffyn again. Gryffyn just wants to complete a land transaction and get away from the castle, but fate and the pixies have other ideas! I enjoyed the romance, the danger, and the supernatural elements in this story. Some of the ghosts encountered are familiar from the other Castle Keyvnor stories, but the interactions with the pixies and the evil forces lurking in Cornwall were new and intriguing. This story is great for reading at Halloween time or any time of year when you want something a little spooky and mystical.

Tamsyn's father has inherited Castle Keyvnor. She hasn't been there for 8 years. She had a humiliating experience the last time and was not looking forward to going back. Things aren't always what they seem and she spent 8 years being mad at Gryff for something he didn't do. Can they mend their rift and prevent a tragedy? They can with the help from some a ghost and a pixie.

A cute, short story with pixies, an evil sorcerer, a boy ghost, and a love match that has been on hold for 8 years. The plot moves quickly and Tamsyn and Gryff come back together and air out what actually happened 8 years ago. Once that is done their relationship blossoms and grows.  Together they make friends with a pixie and stop an evil sorcerer from stealing a parcel of land.  The story was cute, the passion was ok; it was kind of glossed over when it happened, but overall it was a cute short story. I received this copy in exchange for an honest review.
