    Ronald W. Crites, P.E., is Managing Engineer for Brown and Caldwell in Sacramento, California, and an internationally recognized expert on land application of wastes, water reuse, constructed wetlands, and other natural treatment processes. He has 30 years of experience in these fields and is the author of several books and over 110 technical journal articles.Sherwood C. Reed, P.E., has over 30 years' experience in the research and design of natural systems for waste treatment and other environmental engineering facilities. Principal of Engineering Environmental Consultants, Mr. Reed is the author of several books and more than 100 papers on wastewater and sludge management.Robert Bastian is a senior Environmental Protection Agency official in Washington, DC. He has played a key role in the development of sludge and wastewater regulations. He provides assistance to communities involved with innovative methods of treatment of wastewater and beneficial reuse of biosolids.
